I drafted a lot of Guilds of Ravnica and Ravnica Allegiance alike. Frankly, RNA was better in almost every respect, but both sets had a similar cycle of cards with, interestingly, completely different mechanics. These cards were XXYY multicolored uncommon creatures. Each of them were pushed a little, especially cards as powerful as Crackling Drake, and all of them were deliciously playable. My favorite was the UUGG lizard wizard from the Simic guild, followed by Dimir’s flying-deathtouch-hexproof vampire.

Design an uncommon creature with an XXYY mana cost. This card should be designed for drafting in mind. It does not have to be situated on Ravnica. Name and flavor are important here. The best entries should not only be powerful and slightly pushed cards, but also have enough behind them to give a sense of power and purpose to the area they represent - for example, a WWRR Giant from Lorwyn, or a GGBB Fungus from Dominaria. A player who opens these cards in a booster draft should feel highly encouraged from there to pursue those colors/that archetype.

This is a pretty specific contest, I know, but I’m hoping that it leads people to do some research into what multicolor options there are and how to make a nice, pushed card.

Hi! This is the anon who asked about intersex flags. My friends and I have talked about what’s available, and we’ve decided on which scrap flags to use for what he have in mind. Also, could you please include any links I mention here on the flag’s respective dA description? Just so people can have a start on educating themselves further about these conditions. I won’t be going into too much detail on each one (since it may involve a list of features and a bit of uncomfortable genital talk), but I will at least note the most well-known thing about each one.

First, this flag for Klinefelter syndrome, where a person has XXY chromosome. This is probably the most common intersex condition, according to most records.

Then this flag for XXYY syndrome, which is rather rare. This would ideally also serve as a general flag for intersex conditions with an equal number of X and Y chromosomes, or those where the body is a lot more “ambiguous” between “male” and “female”.

Another version of the previous flag, but with the blue bars replaced with pink to mirror the top ones. This would be for Triple X syndrome, which by the name is where a person has XXX chromosomes. It could also be used generally for for intersex conditions that are about having extra X chromosomes, or that most doctors would classify as “close enough to female”.

Again, a version of that previous flag, but now instead of pink bars, they would all be blue bars, besides the purple in the middle. This would be for XYY syndrome. Like the flag for Triple X, this one could also be used generally for for intersex conditions that are about having extra Y chromosomes, or that most doctors would classify as “close enough to male”.

Lastly, this flag would be for what is known as “45,X/46,XY mosaicism”. This condition is probably one of the rarest ones. A person with this condition is not completely with the Y chromosome, but very close. In essence, some of their cells in their bodies have both chromosome types, while others have only one X.

My apologies if this discussion may make anyone uncomfortable. But I do hope this will help people become more educated on the topic of Intersex conditions!!
