The young girl let out a deep, forlorn sigh as she followed the exceedingly grumpy black cat down the narrow alley. Her luck as of late had been extra terrible, it made being late to class and being caught not paying attention by the teacher look like nothing. Mice, a sea of cattails, a lifetime's worth of lacrosse rackets and a horde of cats chasing her across the city had been her "gracious gifts" from the King of Cats. Though, she didn't think of them as "gifts". 

Just when she thought her day couldn't get any stranger, she heard a voice from nowhere at all tell her to find "the black cat at the cross-roads, and to ask him to show her the way to The Cat Bureau" .. or whatever that was.

And that, friends, was how our young Robin found herself standing in the middle of a ring of too small buildings, as the sunset seemed to cast a spotlight on the tiniest of them all. It seemed that the ring of little buildings had been positioned just for this reason. The sight of it, paired with the little white cat statuette in the window made her jaw drop.
