Jack always wanted to be hundreds of miles from trouble or right in the middle of it. It truly depended on his mood and who happened to be involved. All the people he cared for were on the open ocean and it would take great skill to assassinate them.
So why was Jack thrusting himself in a potentially dangerous situation?
Good question. The answer, he still wasn't sure of. Mostly curiosity and another part he was still confused about. Perhaps defiance against the Lannisters, perhaps not. For whatever reason, he was here.
He dressed in the style most civilians of King's Landing wore. He needed to blend and now was not the time to broadcast his arrival. He was here to see what he could see. Nothing else.
Jack roamed down the market lanes, the vendors barking out their wares. The fabrics were lush and beautiful, the gems sparkled in the light. King's Landing's market seemed to offer everything.
The pirate stepped over to a vendor, the man running the stand was currently sucking up to someone and left Jack to glance over the wares unnoticed. He could take what he wanted, but if he got caught, it was far too much of a risk. His fingers brushed the gems and various jewelry that was sprawled out across a purple, silk fabric.
