Iām about to clean up and head to a retirement party. I know I have to do this for me, but I quit my job, because of a few people who will be there. My mom finished her radiation treatment last Tuesday. Sheās doing ok, and her prognosis is very good.
My littlest sister was here to help with my momās appointments and give me more time to stop being unemployed. It was wonderful to see her, even though Iām still burning through savings. I have all the fear, but I donāt regret my decision to leave a miserable situation in June.
That same sweet little sister was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday. One of my best friends and bandmates just told me his mom died of cancer last night.
I know all of this is part of the deal of existing and surviving this long, but dang. Iām ok and donāt need anything. I just remembered that many people asked me about my mom earlier this summer. Love you weirdos!
