The preservation of oneâs mind is the only thing which staves away the eternal calling, the lust of beasthood, the sweet allure of blood. When skulking in shadows and discarding the fully mired in madness lost its appeal, the Crow wagered herself to do a test of her endurance and physical prowess. Â Ciaran was known for being more physically active than most other Hunters, often scaling buildings of her own volition than by ladder or scaffold, but still..
It also served the purpose of a rather informal introduction to the female Huntress who had been lurking about lately. No stench of blood lingered when she passed, her demeanor alltogether so quiet and reserved that Ciaran wondered if she had the stomach to engage in the hunt at all.
Upon her back, Reyven was quiet and almost flustered into silence. Perhaps conversation would be appropriate, she wondered.
âSo, tell me what brings you to Yharnam?â
âŹ~Reyven did her best not to shift, uncomfortably or otherwise, on top of the woman, not wanting to throw her balance off as she continued with her workout, not even thinking of the fact sheâd hardly said a word yet. Of course, Ciaran was the one to inevitably break the silence that Reyven had hardly been paying attention to. A blink brought her back to the reality of the situation rather than just the dwelling thoughts of it, her mind actually acknowledging the rise and fall of her body along with that of the one supporting her.
Her bottom lip worked side to side for a moment, eyes drifting off to the side as she thought about how best to respond. âI came searching for my brother...â she said at long last, voice softly spoken as always. âHe used to look after me a long time ago...â a thoughtful pause, âafter a tragedy that struck our family. Years ago though we got separated during an accident and only recently did I hear of rumors of him being in this place. Thus here I am...Though...I suppose it was a matter of time too given my training as a Hunter of Huntersâ it was painfully trimmed down and summed out, only the bare essentials spoken. Perhaps not so to her, for she was not one to share much of herself or her history up front even if she knew the question was harmless. Maybe sheâd go into more detail if the other asked...
Her mind began to drift again, thinking of all the faces, all the images, thumb pressing roughly enough against her glove to earn a creak of the taut leather. She tried to blink it away though and decided itâd probably be fitting to ask the other of her own situation.
âWhat of you?â she asked quietly, glancing to her blonde compatriot as she continued with her exercise. âAnd...are you sure this is okay?â she asked, referring both to her position on her back and the fact, well, she was on her back while she was doing push ups.
