I really like this fic but it's a difficult read for me for a few reasons. One of which is the most interesting thing about it - how much of the heavens is even left in the modern era? It's a slow paced, grief-heavy story. Very tender.

Despite the ship, the Xie Lian/Hua Cheng is secondary to this fic and I think even hard genfic readers could read the majority of this one and be very happy. This is a fic about Xie Lian and He Xuan and their relationship.

There's a lot going on that's only kind of implied, due to length, and it is executed extremely well. I think if this was a longer fic it would ruin a lot of what makes it linger in your mind. That said, I desire a full length fic carnally.
