Worlds.io - dev/update #5
The Worlds tech team have been busy.
This week we have been finalizing, and have now pushed, the latest version of our distributed hash table library XIPP. New how-to documentation has gone online, including a "hello world" code sample to get new developers up and running quickly. For Java engineers interested in privacy-friendly P2P app development, XIPP is worth investigating.
We have also been finalizing a release candidate of the new XEND communications app, which we are very excited about. Expect to see XEND available for download very soon.
HIVE, our world building platform, has taken some important steps forward recently. With our efforts mostly focused on the text MVP client, we have spent time researching Unity as a more advanced base for the graphical interface. By modularizing HIVE development as we have done over the last few months we're ensuring we can properly handle a wide range of use cases. The HIVE API is built on our XIPP Technology and exposes its view of a persistent digital universe to any high-level interface we need - web, mobile, augmented reality, virtual reality and so on.
The wheels are turning in the right direction, very soon we may need your help to speed them up...
