Tourist Attraction (Xion)
Hot. Stuffy. Full of useless people; tourists. This was going to be Vanitas’ new home and he despised it. The whole idea of moving to a warmer climate, a smaller city, a calmer place, seemed like a good idea. It was better than the cold, small apartment loft, he had in Washington, but now, he missed that.
He missed the cold. He missed the seclusion. He missed the rude people, the ones who kept to themselves. God, how he hated all the locals and their friendliness. But that was to be expected. When you move to Hawaii, everyone seems to notch up the friendliness.
He was wandering the area. Finding the ins and outs of the place. What he did find was a secluded beach. The area was perfect. Looked as if it was plucked out of a travel magazine. Soft white sand, clear blue water, lush greenery, it was a piece of paradise It was empty....well mainly empty. Only a few surfers were there. Of course, they were taking the advantage of the high rolling waves that were crashing into the beach.
He stood there, momentarily mesmerized by the scenery. He didn’t realize that he was now on the sand, but the atmosphere was relaxing, soothing even. Too soon was he snatched away from his moment of peace. A voice had called out to him. Did he ever mention how much he hated the locals?
A scowl was carved into his facial features, eyes piercing through the other with irritation. Now what?
