i personally think that the heart clone was recruited into gyrus’ team; one of the figures shown when maria explains that gyrus had three other allies scattered in the realms has a similar build to ainju and the timing in general that he would’ve died in feels off (he died before the incident, and yet is depicted as becoming a shadow, implying he got killed in one of the realms-- possibly one where gyrus could’ve recruited him and faked his death). there would be a lot of benefits to having one of ainju’s clones on gyrus’ side too; first being that ainju can’t reform and pose a threat, then that ainju’s heart clone might have a unique ability that could help him, and then just to alter how the ros sees him to throw them off from his true motive.
