This was suggested when I was doing sketches but I got excited at the idea of drawing Erik after a long time so I decided to make it a full art instead. ^^” I need to get back to it as soon as I get the time.
14. How has your art changed over the years?
This was a loaded question, and the more I actually thought about it, the bigger this got. Really sorry for all the rambling!

I have been doing art pretty much since I was a kid, all the casual drawings and painting you do as a hobby or for some creative work in school. I got into digital art during late 2018 when I joined the fandom space and came across all the beautiful fan art and the possibility of making one like that.
So, I started with drawing on a paper, clicking the picture and then tracing + colouring it on the mobile with my finger. Needless to say, that was an interesting experience lol, filled with loads of finger cramps. All of that taught me how to use layers and some basics of digital art. These art were some of those attempts:
Around early 2019, I bought a pen stylus for my mobile--the one with transparent disc that didn't give much pressure sensitivity or anything, but it was something. Here are the attempts from that:
During summer 2019, I finally got my graphic pen tablet and using it was a daunting experience at first because of the hand-eye coordination it takes. After some months of practice, I got used to it and it was so exciting to be able to do art like that.
Now here comes the main part, the more art I did, the more I realised that I knew absolutely nothing about it lol. The thing was, till then, I have mostly been doing traditional art. Even in that, my forte--if I can call it that--was doing poster/water colours for scenic stuff and landscapes. So not only digital art was an entire new medium, I did not know any basics of art itself such as anatomy because it was a hobby that I didn't take that seriously, especially in the later years of school where I did not have time. By 2020, I realised that I'll have to start from the scratch and actually learn and understand what I am doing.
In 2021, I got invested in manga colouring and that helped too! Since man times (read: most) I am feeling too lazy to draw but want to colour something or I am having an art block, so doing manga colouring was a way for that. I got to play more around with lighting and shading. Art wise, I pushed myself to give more attention to details and take my time with things.
2022 is still in progress and so are my goals! I am trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and study different art styles. One of main aim is to practice anatomy more and allow myself to make mistakes and fuck up, because who cares if I do? (it's me. I care. lolol and that's what I am trying to get better that)
I consider myself a beginner and there is a lot to learn. Sometimes that fact gets overwhelming. Other times it gets exciting because there is so much to do and explore so the fun will never stop. My relationship with my art changes as we both grow, and although there are times where it is a strain, it is still a space for myself to just be. And for that, I'll always be grateful to it. <3

1. Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as it strikes?
honestly it depends. if i think of a few specific lines or how i want something described/worded then i’ll write it down as soon as i can, but if i think of a certain story concept or au then i’ll daydream about it for a while then start jotting down bullet points
2. Where do you get your fic ideas?
oh, there’s no shortage of places i get ideas from. it would be impossible to write all of them down tbh. most often, though, it’ll be from certain scenes that i like, or songs, or other fics that i’ve read, or books that i’ve read, or cool words, or spitballing ideas with a friend, or-
3. Do you share your fic ideas, or mostly keep them to yourself?
oh, i almost always share my ideas with someone else. if i don’t, it’s because i’m trying to surprise soemone, or because i’m just writing it impulsively in one sitting and i can’t risk breaking my flow. it’s usually easier for me to develop an idea if i’m going back and forth with a friend talking about it, or if i ask for other people’s input. it helps me filter through all my ideas and see a clearer course of action. usually, i discuss my fics with a specific friend, since they’re my main editor and usually part of the same fandoms i’m in

headcanon a: realistic
he knows every single constellation. like. all of them. not even because of his magic, just as a kid before the tower of heaven he loved all of the constellations and looked at the sky so much that he memorized them all. when he was in the tower trying to calm himself down from pain or a panic attack, he would just sit and recite all of the constellations in his head. (he also teaches some of them to erza and the other kids whenever they could see the sky cause he’s soft)
head canon b: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
he fucking hates blueberries. just cannot stand them. they’re bitter and messy and just all around a bad experience for him. meredy starts calling him blueberry and he just lets her cause she’s adorable. then when she gets him a bunch of blueberry-flavored things he can’t deny her puppy-dog eyes, and just chokes them down. ultear (fuck you i’m ignoring canon) knows he hates them and just laughs
headcanon c: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
he was kidnapped when he was pretty young, and along with all of the brainwashing and amnesia that scrambled his brain, he hardly remembers his childhood before the tower. he doesn’t remember his family, where he’s from, or what his face marking is. all he knows is that his family had similar markings, and he spends his traveling years trying desperately to figure out what the mark means. any time someone has a face tattoo or guild mark he does a double take, but his heart broken every time
headcanon d: unrealistic, but i will disregard canon about it because i reject canon reality and substitute my own
this may not be unrealistic but i just thought of it and it sounds cool, but what if the mark is a guild mark? like what if his family was part of some magic guild that was just completely destroyed by the tower of heaven cultists, and he’s the only survivor?
