OK, OK. I was REALLY trying to finish this post earlier; personal stuff came up, and I was struggling to make it look good. Finally got my flow though!
Had fun experimenting with these! I don't usually take that many creative liberties when it comes to coloring, but I did here so that the thinner line art had a chance to show though.
The designs for Xenophanes' beast form and the fusion Xertrinity is just so cool, I couldn't resist drawing them as well! I need to know more.. eventually.

how do fusions in tfte work?
Mazikami

the most unstable fusion out of any of them, very prone to unfusing at any moment
does not want to exist
the name 'mazikami' combines 'mazin' and the japanese word for god, 'kami.'
it sounds similar to kamikaze, which reflects how mazikami is willing to go out with honor once his task is done.
majin and xeno only fuse as him as a last resort, which is LITERALLY NEVER in this day and age. they're powerful enough to not need to fuse
his crystals resemble grape agate. not intentional, just something I noticed after I designed him initially
basically a physical manifestation of a traumatic period of their lives
this fusion has scarred the thought of fusion for xeno. majin has since healed from it, but the thought of fusion is still something that upsets xeno.
rewrite sometimes forces auditory hallucinations and flashbacks onto them to get them to unfuse. to stress them out. fuck you rewrite
he melts when stressed. not too much, enough to be uncomfortable, not enough to turn into a puddle.
brings about anxiety, paranoia, and possible ptsd to majin and xeno.
'personality wise,' he isn't as goofy as majin, nor as angry as xeno. hes more just. miserable. all the time. mostly cause they dont even want to be here to begin with
they both have equal control
while he doesn't have his own personality, he briefly did when majin and xeno lost their memories and believed they were mazikami. this is what that looked like:

honestly cant really describe it HAHA he was only like this very briefly

how are these 'non-canon?'
mazikami is the only one who's appeared in canon, because of rewrite forcing them into fusion. this strayed the big 3 away from fusion. besides, their already high strength means they don't really have a reason to fuse in general. the following is what would happen if these specific combinations fused

x's least favorite fusion
LOVES to fuck with people, brings the goofy side out of both of them (most of it is from x repressing it since his 2011 days.)
usually never takes anything seriously
tries to turn almost anything into 'a game'
xeno does NOT like him. either from fomo or just a general distaste for how unserious he is, but regardless, he just doesn't like this guy.
tends to have a more 'fucked up' sense of humor than majin would want
majin has primary control
he and theos x really werent fleshed out too much

loves to fight
when he's angry, he's somehow angrier than xeno, probably has something to do with the repressed anger from 2011 in lord x, combined with xeno's already horrible anger.
despite this, not easy to anger in the first place. thanks to lord x

less doglike than xeno is, a little more sophisticated

the closest to being canon out of the non canon ones
lord x has primary control (usually)
serious. he doesn't like messing around. he wants tasks to get done.
remember how i mentioned he's "not always in control?" when the big 3 fuse, theyre the ones in control, but if they're in sync for too long it leaves an opening for him to take control, or if he simply doesn't agree with the direction they're taking him in, he will restrain them and force control.
this makes him the 2nd most unstable fusion, not at risk of unfusing, they're just simply at risk of losing control
despite this, he respects the 3 and is normally obedient to them, even if he believes they can be foolish and reckless sometimes.
stoic, monotone, believes he will be the world's savior
views the big 3 and rewrite as father figures, but he is not fond of rewrite, especially for what he did to the 3.
he strives for justice, for what HE believes it right, even if it's not morally right nor if it's what the 3 want.
views himself as the "child of gods"

his extra mouths thing may be retconned. he has a mouth under his chin (like hog/alexandrite), and a mouth behind his head underneath his quills. xeno will talk from the back, majin will talk from the one under his face, and x will talk from the "main mouth," which is also the one xertrinity uses.
"what happened to the rings around him on his concept?"
these rings weren't put in either of the newer renders for declutter purposes, like his mouths. I have no idea if they're still apart of him or not, but just know these rings WERE around him, and they'd disappear and break off the more damaged he is.
maybe I'll still keep them but use them for something else? have no clue

hi! this is xertrinity. hes the (technically non-canon) fusion between the 3, but hes special in the sense that hes the only fusion with his own personality!
wont talk about him too much here.. just know he doesnt have a mind of his own ALL the time
there was one point I forgot to make in the tfte fusion basics post that I think I got asked privately once but never gave a real answer, it's probably time for me to address this incase I'm asked again

it seems like a silly question, cause for the most part its just for aesthetic reasons. more like a 'what if,' and canonically, obviously, increases the strength of the beings involved
but when the big 3 are already supposed to be the most powerful people in this universe.. why would they specifically ever need to fuse?
they.. don't. not necessarily
xertrinity, mr. minds, and theos x aren't canon because they haven't been put in another situation where they couldn't win without their strength alone. that's. never going to happen. not yet, atleast
which is why I said xertrinity was the next likely to be canon, because if they're going to be anyone it'll be him.
the only two people they'd need to fuse against are rewrite and someone else who I won't name yet. just know he's been seen, but he's not TOO important.
and even then, xertrinity doesn't come CLOSE to rewrite in power.
the big 3 fusions (besides mazikami and I guess xertrinity) really are all just.. what ifs. thats all they are. other fusions on the other hand would have higher chances of happening out of necessity, but it's very rare they'd ever turn to such a practice.
