I just bought an evercade because my obsession with gaming handheld knows no end and im rewarding myself for like, doing study things, helping my parents with buying the house, figuring out my identity and generally keeping things together.
The evercade came out last year and seems to be a 32-bit handheld system and plays games off these cartridges, they come in nifty lil cases with manuals. There’s plenty of retro game compilation, like the namco museum, data east, etc.
However they also have some neat new offerings that so far have only been homebrew for older consoles such as this XenoCrisis/Tangewood dual cartridge
They also have other collections from homebrew developers such as Piko Interactive, MegaCat Studios and later this year they are releasing a new cartridge that will feature like 20 games by indie developers.
Idk, maybe its the 90s/00s kid in me talkin but cartridges, manuals, cases, portable gaming is just nice and its novel to have all these homebrew games on cartridges.
