It happened again.

As soon as his fingers neared the keys they stopped, as if hesitant to keep typing. 

A frown etched his features, knowing deep down the cause of the problem.

Every time she entered his mind, his heart would jump in his chest. It was becoming a slight issue for him since he is so used to being focused on the task in front of him.

Leaning back into his desk chair, a sigh left him, interlocking his own fingers together in thought. It is true he had deep feelings for her, not that would he express it openly around others.

It’s more of a private affair.

Only a few people know about it, her friends and his brother Mokuba. The latter often teases him about it, knowing it is all in good fun though his own tone of voice comes across as something different.

Speaking of his brother, the doors to his office opened up, revealing the familiar head of black hair he knows. And judging by the look on the young boys face, the elder sibling knew he was in for a tough time.

“Hi Big Bro, what are you working on?” he asked, leaning his head against his brother’s desk as is his wont. Seeing his little brother well always made him smile, but Mokuba knew better.

His brother wasn’t just smiling about that.

The younger Kaiba’s eyes drifted to his brothers keyboard, he knows he has been working on something big in here but to what it was, he doesn’t even know. What he does know is that Seto has been, kind of slacking off.

Not in a bad way but it takes a bit longer to finish things and Mokuba knows the cause of this.

A very important person to both their lives.

“Something very important Mokuba. Well I would be working on it if I wasn’t distracted” Mokuba tilts his head as he knows the cause of his brothers doldrums.

“It wouldn’t have to do with a certain person does it?” Seto felt his heart jump again at the tone of his brother’s voice, slowly turning his head to come face with Mokuba’s eyes, shining with mischief.

“Mokuba...” his voice was stern but that did not stop his younger brother’s grin growing wider. Mokuba knew his brother was a busy person, he knew more then most about how it.

“Come on Seto. I know you love her~”

H-How did he know about that? Kaiba knew his younger sibling was clever, but he did not know that he knew...that.

Seto did not like that look in his brother’s eyes, they twinkled and his grin grew even more wide. “Com on Big Bro, have you even told her properly yet? Sure you send her flowers and all that junk....”

That’s when Mokuba had an idea.

A clever idea.

It was sure to work.

“I’m going to go tell her!”

Oh no. No no no no no! No he can’t. The elder Kaiba felt his heart sink into his chest as the sound of his brother’s admission. “Don’t you dare Moku-”

“TOO LATE!!!” He was already running out the door, Seto groaned slightly. Would he get up and give chase?

Wait why was he thinking about this he had too!

The younger Kaiba cackled gleefully at the sound of his brothers footfalls giving chase. Okay now...where would she be? He thought as he turned a corner, the target he was looking for right in front of him.

A grin creased his face. Perfect.

The black haired boy ran past her, the red-head raised a brow. “Mokuba where are you-”

“Can’t talk now! Bye!”

She tilted her head, obviously confused as she was headed to turn the corner he had emerged from.

Only to run straight into someone.

Crumpled in a heap on the floor, tangled limbs and mumbling about sore heads, the duo caught each others eyes, staring intently.

“Seto....” she managed to say.

“Yes?” he replied.

“....You are awful close...was this on purpose?” Her brows raised at the slight growl that left him.

“No no it was not. I am sorry...” Aw look, he’s blushing, how adorable. A smile creased her lips, he couldn’t look at her right now due to his embarrassment.

She was so pretty when she smiled like that.

“You don’t have to be sorry” He looked at her again, eyes shining with kindness, familiar to him.

Clearing his throat he pulled himself up, then her, gently brushing some lose strands of her hair back in place. “Now...where did Mokuba go?” he asked.

The two of them looked around, only to hear a giggle coming from a nearby room. There he was.

Opening the door to his hiding spot, the younger Kaiba looked up with a cheeky grin on his face, Kaiba looked less then pleased at his sibling.

“...You didn’t catch me Seto so it doesn’t count” That only caused him to roll his eyes at his brother, Xena chuckles slightly.

“So...Seto took time out of his busy day for you Mokuba?” she asked him, he nods at her. “Yup he did~ Don’t worry I made sure he will take time to spend with you~”

“Oh really?” Seto eyes his brother, who only replied his stare with another one of those grins.

“Yup~ My brother may always be busy but I know he has time for you”

Well he couldn’t argue with Mokuba on that front. 

“And if he has time for me, is he going to take me someplace nice?”

“Of course~”

There he goes. Making plans for him with her without letting him get a word in edgewise, Seto stood there with his arms crossed but with a soft smile on his face.

“It’s basically his intervention”
