The dragon that was in chains looked up when he heard her voice, letting out a huff as he painfully turned his head. It was so painful for him to do so that he just laid there, whining pathetically at the one who found him. He didnāt know if he should speak to her, but the only thing he could do was reach out, his neck blistering in pain as he let out a low growl.
The woman sputtered and stepped forward, hands motioning frantically. āN-no, you donāt need to move! I-Iāll be right back, I swear, just.. stay still.ā She said and hurriedly ran off, returning again only an hour or so later, carrying a bag that seemed quite full. Smells of herbs and spices permeated the satchel she had with her, medicine and salves.
She did hesitate, unsure if the dragon would even let her close enough to use the salves and balms. āMay I?.. I brought a few things to help you heal up faster.. Iāll have to clean the wounds and thatāll hurt, but the balms will sooth it.ā
