At least one demigod inherited a special touch for cooking. Snow had to assume it was Dexter’s fire manipulation skills that made the difference. No char, just a happy group of salivating and then nourished demigods. Dex’s camp became sort of a boom town, due to his generosity.
Snow was still working out a few kinks after restoring his human form, but felt himself smiling like the other boys by the time he’d arrived to see what all the excitement was about. Perhaps an apology would be expected from Dexter, but then again what transpired during the boat launch might all be swept under the rug. Snow could never tell... even after 38 years of trying to. “So, you and all your teammates made it across safely.” He muttered, still impressed that all bodies succeeded the initial test. “’but are you alright?”
He sat on the loose earth while asking, casting his gaze toward Dexter that glinted in the fires reflection.
