But this time with heavily implied Xarditional ( I think that's how it's spelt? Idk, that's how the CEO spells it. )
First time actually drawing Xar! I have tried before, never really succeeded. Also Addi / Barney Calhoun's outfit is fire but hard to draw.
Also first time drawing Darnold. This will probably not be my final personal design for him, but it'll do.
Why did I draw them so shocked? Well, in the moment if drawing this I was like : They were in Black Mesa! Surely they'd remember the Vortigaunts and how said vortigaunts tried killing them ( and how Bubby and company blasted through them in return )
But like.... would they - meaning Bubby - give a shit? I don't know, I just wanted to draw them shocked.
I totally believe Addi's a freak internally. Also I just realised I accidently drew Xar staring at Addi's chest... I mean it fits so-

addition to xarditional: addi v is secretly a huge freak but whenever he says anything offbeat and gordon goes âwhat?â xar jumps in like âwhat is wrong with you gorgon you canât talk to him like that. he is literally so normal. he is the most normal guy i know. why are you being weird? perhaps it is you that is the freak.â
xarditional is like. what if you had this coworker who was nice but so nondescript that all you really know about him is that he has a degree in communications and that he likes men. and then one day he brings in a hulking alien in a lab coat and introduces him as his boyfriend completely casually. and the alien calls you a bitch.
xar and addi v in xarâs intro scene rocks. xar watching commercials on tv, losing his clothes, blowing himself up, and then confidently saying, âI just had a terrible thought of someone getting so scared their clothes fell off and they died, luckily that is impossible.â addi going âvortigaunts are friendly, especially this one!â as xar is openly hostile to gordon. âthe vortigaunts are a little⌠abstractâ vs âADDITIONAL VOICES IS THE MOST NORMAL PERSON I KNOW!â addi v vaguely protesting but not making any efforts to stop xar from sticking his hand in fire. legendary character combo
