Origin Story:
David was born in one of the central provinces in France and lived out their early years with their mother, Renee Franc, and their father, Hugo Franc, until they were 10 years old. Their father, seeking out more opportunities, decided to expand his business to America and brought his family with him on the long journey. David immediately started attending an American school and learning English quickly so that they could blend into the new surroundings and with the people that they had to live with.
It was quickly noticed that Davidâs best subjects were Art, Math, and Science, and their parents encouraged every bit of their learning and appreciation for both despite the pressures on women at the time. Initially in an attempt to better establish themselves as an academic, David changed their name and began taking on less feminine dress as they began to apply for higher education. Not long into their change, they began to realize that this new role of not quite fitting within male or female stereotypes fit their personality far better than it ever had before. At 18 they were accepted into Brown university for a Computer Science major and a minor in Graphic Design. Unfortunately, their dreams were far from coming true as their freshman year was quickly undermined by a staggering set of slowly manifesting abilities.
At first, David would simply wake up in the middle of the night, fallen over from their chair to spot a new drawing on their desk with gruesome depictions. Not long after, they were waking up with more and more of them until one day they saw the first drawing come to life before their eyes. The janitor for the building of the Arts was crushed under a shelf within one of the classrooms and was only found the next morning surrounded in a pool of blood. The coincidence was horrifying, but soon after that the terrifying depictions began to come true. David quickly hid the drawings away from their roommates and was determined to not let this strangeness interfere with their schoolwork.
That summer strange feelings and momentary swings in mood began to happen after touching various objects. Davidâs parents were beginning to grow worried as their childâs mood shifted seemingly from one moment to the next as she went about the day. The young student tried her best to calm their worries, claiming it was just the stress of school that set them off. Then, in the fall, they returned once more to school, determined to avoid their childhood home in an attempt to distance their parents from whatever was happening.
At the age of 21, Davidâs powers were becoming harder and harder to control and the final straw was when, in the shower, she suddenly fell into a vision. Without anything to draw on or with, she had cut her leg and drew across the tiles a gruesome image in red before falling unconscious and hitting her head. She woke up within the school nurseâs office and was immediately forced to attend therapy to deal with her âdeteriorating mental state.â Fortunately, the therapist didnât think that the young student was quite insane and began seeking further information into what was happening to them, and actually listening.
It didnât take long to determine that these newfound issues were more than just a mental break, but a mutation. The university therapist immediately reached out to Charles Xavier and sought to send David to someone who could actually help. Someone who would help them control these abilities and find ways to keep David from further harm due to their unstable powers and horrifying visions.

Telepathic Illusions. Even more powerful than her father, Regan can give others both convincing and realistic illusions. These hypnotic illusions, unless dealt to someone else with a strong mind-related ability, are accepted as real by the victim (even if the scene involves an entire world change from mere seconds ago). This is an effective brainwashing tool and can sometimes even continue after Regan is rendered unconscious.
Psychosomatic Symptoms. Reganâs illusions are so realistic that when people die in them, their bodies respond accordingly in reality. This has only happened once, at the command of her father, and no one else knows.
Telepathy (Minor). Regan can pick up on the desires of others to make her illusions more convincing. This ability is not very well developed, and she currently can only read the surface thoughts of others while they are in an illusion.
Regan was born to the rich and influential Jason Wyngarde and the brilliant psychologist Caitlyn Murphy. The two met at some event for social elites and Caitlyn was immediately charmed by the man. They were involved for four years, much to the dismay of Martiniqueâs mother, his actual girlfriend. After Regan was two, Caitlyn began discovering the darker side of Jason Wyngarde and wanted him to have nothing to do with their daughter.Â
Unfortunately, when Regan was eight, her mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness. During her last day, Reganâs powers manifested when she accidentally gave her mother the illusion that they were vacationing in their summer home at the beach in North Carolina. After her motherâs peaceful death, Regan vowed to only use her abilities to help others.Â
As her mother had no living family members, Regan was sent to live with her father and half-sister Martinique.
Jason legally changed her name from Regan Murphy to Regan Wyngarde and, even at a young age, began chipping away at her beliefs that abilities should be used for good only. After all, he was the parent that was a mutant, was he not? Their training was rigorous and repetitive. One particular assignment involved torturing a man who had crossed her father. He ordered her to drown him in her illusion as punishment. She obeyed without a second thought, but as the man drowned in the illusion, he suffocated in reality. Traumatized by her own actions, Jason quickly disposed of the body, leaving Regan to realize that she had broken her motherâs vow already. It was too late to turn back now.
Following her fatherâs wishes as usual, Regan enrolled in Hellfireâs School for Mutants for as long as the school has existed. A fresh graduate from the school, Regan is still actively involved with the school and its students by being the resident guidance counselor for Hellfire; a terrifying role for anyone who knows Regan well.
Unfortunately, like everything else, Martinique stole their fatherâs name for an alias. Regan, determined to still be in the lead and the classier sister, named herself Lady Mastermind.Â

Rebecca Lensherr was born in 1943. In 1944, believing that the baby could not survive the camps, her parents placed her in the care of the local Catholic church where she was raised by nuns. She has little to no memory of her parents and brother Erik and does not know that Magneto is her brother. When Rebecca aged out of the church school, the nuns worked with the Jewish Refugee Committee of Manila to send her and the other Jewish students to the Philippines. It was there that Rebecca met Jeffery Kaplan, a descendent of Sephardic refugees from the Spanish Inquisition and American soldiers stationed in Manila. Though only children at the time, they remained close for the rest of their lives, marrying as adults and moving to New York shortly thereafter. Upon giving birth to their first set of twins, born in New York in 1967,  they decided that they were unable, care for two children at the time and gave one of them up for adoption. They named the twin they kept William. The other  would go on to become Tommy Shepherd AKA Speed. Their second set of twins, Aaron and Avi were born in 1974.
For as long as he could remember, Billy had had an active imagination. Whether it was mimicking the Broadway shows that made his state famous in front of the mirror or delving into his vast collection of comic books, it was clear from a young age that he preferred fiction to reality. Whether it was for his unconventional interests, lack of athletic ability, his ethnic and religious background, or his sexuality, he was a constant target for bullies. As a child, he would often fantasize about leaving his old life to join the X-Men. As puberty came and went, Billy had all but given up on the prospect of being a mutant until a chance encounter with his idol, Wanda Maximoff triggered his latent X-gene. His electrokinesis manifested first, sending currents through the bodies of his bullies and rendering them unconscious. Shortly thereafter, he found he was able to manipulate matter and energy such that he could move things with his mind and, with immense effort, teleport. He first chose the codename âAsgardianâ because his electrokinetic powers mirrored those of Thor, god of thunder, but he later decided  to model himself after Wanda, and take the codename Wiccan. His first bursts of chaos magic manifested while attending Xavierâs School, where he and Wanda were properly introduced. As of yet, neither one is aware of their shared family, but that may change soon. Billy was never told that he had a twin brother, but after being introduced to Tommy, a boy his age to whom he was almost identical in appearance, Billy is on his way to figuring it out.

Origin Story: Josh was born to Howard and Grace Foley on July 23, in Queens, New York. He was very much a golden boy â good at baseball, goofy, outgoing and well-liked. His family was incredibly anti-mutant and imparted their mutaphobic views on the young Josh, who, at the behest of his eldest brother, joined the anti-mutant group, the Reavers. He soon realized he was in over his head when the Reavers engaged in a fight with some mutants in his neighborhood of Flushing. Josh discovered he had powers after healing a mutant injured in this fight, but, appalled, tried to disregard this. However, he was soon outed as a mutant and rejected by the Reavers. Going home that night he was confronted by his brother, Tim, who beat him severely. His parents consequently disowned him for being a mutant. Fortunately his other brother, Randy, was far more understanding and delivered the beaten boy to the X-Mansion. Â Â
Enhanced Agility: Anoleâs natural agility, balance, and coordination are enhanced to increased levels, allowing him to perform feats that those of normal agility would find incredibly hard to do.
Enhanced Speed: Capable of moving and running slightly faster than a normal human, but he is not on par with powered speedsters.
Enhanced Reflexes: He has the reaction time that is roughly half of that of normal baseline humanâs.
Enhanced Strength: Anole possesses superhuman strength enabling him to lift weights to, as of yet, unmeasured levels. He is able to create a vice grip, similar to that of a boa constrictor. Through simulation and variability, he has shown the ability to crush bone and break stone. He been able to contort metal but again, his upper limits are unmeasured.
Enhanced Stamina: Anoleâs muscles produce far less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an average human. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue impairs him.
Long, Elastic, Sticky, Prehensile, Forked Tongue: Anole has an incredibly long tongue (apparently longer than his own body length) which he is capable of rapidly and abruptly extending out of the mouth. The tongue has a sticky tip on the end, which serves to catch anything that he would otherwise never be able to reach.
Wallcrawling: Similar to Spider-Man, Anole can climb vertically up walls and hang from ceilings from pads on his hands and feet.
Camouflage: Anole possesses superhuman ability to alter his skin color and appearance enabling him to copy the pattern of any surface he stands against.
Retractible Razor Sharp Spikes, Claws, and Fangs: As part of his physical mutation, Anole has spikes that appear on his scalp. His newly regenerated frame now boasts razor sharp claws allowing for greater battle prowess.
Reptilian Regenerative Properties: Anole has a regenerative ability that can grow replacement limbs, though the full extent of this power remains unclear.
Reptilian Shapeshifting: Due to the mutation becoming more aggressive, this skill is become less voluntary/temporary and is becoming a permanent progression in his physical appearance.
Neurotoxin Creation: Anole possess as strain of neurotoxin that he can release through a bite, voluntarily. With his size and the potency, a small drop can render his victim paralyzed for up to an hour before the body starts to metabolize it. In high doses, the toxin can cause his victims to seize, become comatose, can shut down vital organs, and can even result in fatality.

Victor is the adoptive son of the Borkowskiâs and since then, heâs lived the most traditional life of a kid being transitioned through the adaptive qualities of any orphan raised by a devote Jewish family. Though he did not belong to the couple, his entire family spared not one ounce of love and admiration for him. That was, until his transition started. As he began to biologically adapt to his maturation, his X-Gene became more active. And while others had been exposed to their abilities at such an early age, he was now experiencing the physical shifts. As a mutant, heâd experience the morphing in isolated events. Between shedding large amounts of thick, leathery skin to developing reptilian eyes, the boy was having night terrors of becoming a monster out of his comic books. He was removed from the private sector of school to being homeschooled. Heâd often pray the transitions away but it seemed it only got worse. That is, until he was about 12. They just all seemed to stop. The illness. The physical pain. The shifts. Stopped. For a whole year, he seemed to live normally. But his puberty brought on the more difficult changes. He began to develop green skin in moving spots. He grew claws. Vic was becoming one of the strangest physical representations. He considered himself a freak. For years his psychological trauma seemed to swell. He began to act out. Not to mention, he was dealing with his sexuality. Without much conflict, his parents agreed that theyâd always do what was best for him. That was, sending him to get the help he needed. Super Speed: Tommy is easily capable of running at speeds exceeding 3,000 MPH
Accelerated Perception: Tommy can perceive the world at a much faster rate than others, leading most of the world to sometimes seem like itâs moving in slow motion.
Molecular Acceleration: Tommy can accelerate atoms and molecules to the point where they become unstable and fall apart, leading to massive explosions. He can also do this from a small range of about 10 feet, sending the vibrations through the air.
(Inactive) Intangibility: Technically sub-power of Tommyâs ability to accelerate molecules. Tommy would be able accelerate the molecules of himself and even others through solid objects. Currently though Tommy lacks the amount of control over his powers required to do this on his own without damaging either what he is attempting to pass through or himself in the process, and is nowhere near capable of getting other passed through safely with him.

On April 1st 1967 Rebecca Kaplan gave birth to twin boys. What should have been a joyous occasion had a sour note to it. Jeff and Rebecca lacked the resources to care for both of their sons, and after deliberating had made the hard choice to give one of them up for adoption. In the end they left it up to the couple who would be adopting one of them to choose who to take. Frank and Mary Shepherd chose their son and gave him the name Thomas.
Tommy was an energetic kid and curious kid, almost always finding a way to get himself lost or his parents mad at him when they went out. When he went into kindergarten his differences were quickly realised, landing him with a diagnosis of Hyperkinetic Reaction Of Childhood (Modern diagnosis: ADHD). Tommy was eight years old when his energy truly started to ramp up though. Shortly after he noticed white hairs one morning in the mirror, but he shrugged it off. Until eventually the white hairs had multiplied to the point that his parents noticed. Concerned for their childâs well being they took him to the doctors.
They did a full day of tests, lots of strange ones that Tommy had never even heard of before, but he followed the instructions and did his best. Although after a while Tommy noticed that the doctors had become colder towards him he ignored it. It was a pretty long day after all, heâd thought maybe they just needed a nap. Eventually theyâd returned him to his parents and sat them all down together.
That was when they received the news. Tommy was a mutant. He hardly had time to process the news before his mother broke out in tears, his father holding her and looking at him as if theyâd just been told he was guilty of murder. What happened next felt like a whirlwind. His father saying that they wouldnât raise a freak, his mother agreeing, then the doctor talking about some program. Putting the monsters to good use he had said. Before Tommy could understand what was happening paperwork had been signed and his parents were leaving him for good.
That same night he was transferred to the facility where he would spend the next ten years of his life as a little more than a science experiment and weapon. Everyday became the same, and mindless blur of tortures and experiments and lessons. Being trained to fight and kill and use his mutation to itâs most effective and brutal capacity. The days turned into months that turned it to years, Tommy didnât know anymore how long he had been there anymore. He could hardly remember anything before it anymore either.
Then, on one cold early spring night in 1985, all hell broke loose. A group of radical mutants had attacked the facility, wiping out the staff and setting all of the mutants it housed free. Tommy didnât need to think twice, as soon as the door to his cell had been blown off he was out of there. He ran for a full day, only stopping because he physically couldnât move on. He travelled for a few weeks, eventually learning of a school for mutants. A place that would supposedly actually help them. Partially out of curiosity, but mostly because he had nowhere else to go, Tommy set off for Xavierâs school.
Molecular Manipulation:Â Through intensive experimentation, Emoryâs recessive mutant gene was activated by Sinisterâs genetic alteration. The innate mutation caused him to learn how to exploit the dangerous form of matter alteration. He has been able to repair damaged tissues and even fuse inorganic matter such as ripped metal or chipped glass.
Power Bestowal [Self]:Â The number and extent of how fluent his ability to grant or gift an ability to himself has yet to be tested but many of his skills are subject to his past life but he has been known to tap into his genetic mutation. Many of his abilities make him a formidable opponent. whether hand-to-hand or a matter of the mind. The limit also must be something he has been exposed to- such as Erikâs flight or Jeanâs telekinetic blasts.
Power Negation: With gifting himself a certain power, he must remove another until his template can adapt and retain several powers. As a result, he wipes several skills to free power slots that are not his natural gifts. Sinister exploited this gift and has mutated the gene to give him the ability to nullify powers, externally. It generally only happens within a certain radius but he only needs to be within range to sever the user from their gift. He has also shown limited ability to sever the userâs level of control, making them lose the grasp and cause them physical harm.
Sorcery: Emory has had a desire to defy the common thread of physics and natural law. He has sense taken up a small corner dimension that is just a fraction of reality and studies his craft without others knowing. His mystic ability allows him to cast illusions, spells, hex, attain telekinetic abilities, evoke telepathy, shadow and astral walking, and has learned to change his appearance for a limited time. By doing so, he has been able to train himself to naturally excel in psionic talents. He has been able to render himself more durable on thought and has learned to siphon psionic energy around him.
Anything Else: He has come across several texts which he has identified and could possibly relate to Bennet du Paris but Essex has constantly debunked the relations, lying to make the created memories more believable. Heâd trust Essex first and will always help him.
Origin Story
With very little known about Emoryâs past, his genetic template is over 2000 years. He constantly flows through life having instances where he remembers a life prior to the last. This time, he has no clear consciousness and has had his mind reshaped by the brilliant Dr. Essex.
Near modern day Paris, the crypt which held the last remains of the former Mutant Messiah had been uncovered by Essex Corp- an unknown entity. Propelling in mutant genetics and bioengineering, it took very little effort to reconstruct the confines of a perfect genetic sample. Several mutants have come and gone but the recent discovery of En Sabah Nur, many agencies have began to scout the globe for more preserved mutants. This, however, wasnât the first to be found. It just happened to be the first to slip.
As heâd have it, Sinister reanimated the boy and created him to be the perfect avatar. He helped the boy excel in several questionable areas and helped shape his finesse over his diverse and quite challenging powers. During which, his mind only could process one. Sinister began to experiment with the neural thresholds, placing barriers that would open the more he matured.
Photokinesis:Â He can generate from his body a bright white light equivalent at maximum intensity to half million-foot candles. He does so by varying the rate of acceleration of the molecules of his body out of phase with one another, thereby generating a cascade of photonic discharges. As a result, he can release this light in a powerful, condensed form of a concussive blast or concussive waves from his hands or his entire body.
Superhuman Speed: He possesses the ability to propel his body at superhuman speed, becoming a living projectile. Through an act of concentration, Northstar can channel a portion of the kinetic energy of the atomic motion in his bodyâs molecules in a single direction. This can accelerate his body in a velocity in direct proportions to the amount of kinetic energy he has tapped. He is able to isolate movement to a portion or a segment of his body. His superhuman speed allows him to achieve:Â
Superhuman Condition: As a result of being experimented on by a rogue Weapon X facility in Quebec, Northstar has since shown a degree of modifications to musculature. With the combination of his speed, he is able to achieve a heightened degree of agility and strength. He has demonstrated shredding through a structure constructed of steel while remaining unscathed.
Flight: He has the ability to propel himself through the air. To hover in mid-air Northstar applies thrust downward in a carefully controlled manner. When carrying another, unprotected human being aloft, Northstar does not move faster than 60 miles per hour in order that his âpassengerâ may be able to breathe easily (Northstar himself can breathe at somewhat higher rates due to training) and so that the âpassengerâ will not suffer harm from wind, friction, or air turbulence.

Jean-Paul Beaubier was an infant when his parents were killed in a car crash. He was soon adopted by a family named Martin and separated from his twin Jeanne-Marie. Jean-Paul led a rather lonely childhood, often getting into trouble. As a teen, he attempted to steal from a man, who was himself involved in shady dealings. Belmonde helped the young Jean-Paul deal with his emerging super-human powers and perhaps with his homosexuality as well. As a result, he felt a sense of need and would always remain loyal to the man. The speedster even endured physical harm and strain in order to remain in the eye of the man. With quite a few anti-mutant, allies, and supremacy groups on the rise, so were agencies. They were ready to jump on the first opportunity to exploit the population. Belmonde jumped on the first opportunity and would submit the mutant program.
Many of these mutants were forced, rounded up. Somewhere easier to manipulate while others were âcreatedâ to do as they bid. Unlike his fellow, Jean-Paul had no official skillset to rank amongst the assassin. He was experimented on. They forced him to reach the limits of his mutation and would make him go beyond. They tested his healing factor and compared it to their feral mutant, placing him as a possible support for the weapon. He was broken and pieced together only to be destroyed again. He was trained to be a living projectile. He became aggressive. Violent. Angry. His longing for becoming a leader for his kind had been forgotten through the stake of blood, sweat, tears, and fear. He had become what he didnât want.Â
Due to a severe âaccident,â he does not remember many of the trials and missions but until this day, he could see the bloodshed on his hands. He fled once the force had been destroyed by a band of mutants and with Xavierâs support, Jean-Paul was able to reclaim some sense of normalcy. He was re-educated. He now resides at the Institute, teaching and providing troubled youth with an escape and an ally.
