Ā VAMPIRE BIOLOGY/APPEARANCE
so iāve been wanting to write this up for awhile. just what sort of vampire is theodore? does he follow the traditional vampire lore that we see across fandoms? does he turn into dust if you stake him in the heart, can a stake even kill him? does he glow in the sunlight, can he eat people food, etc etc. here i am - answering all these questions and more. short answer - no. he doesnāt follow any of these traditional ideals that authors have created for their works of fiction -- at least none that i have come across. iāve delved into something entirely different.Ā
1) can theodore walk in the sunlight? not direct sunlight but yes. not for long periods of time and he prefers to go without doing so if he can help it. the rays of light are enough to make his skin tingle and crawl, too much sun exposure can lead to burning and eventually spontaneous combustion and eventual death. imagine it was one very very bad sunburn. he prefers to be out at night, his biological clock has adapted to a routine of sleeping during the day and rising at night.Ā
2) can theodore eat human food? no! 99.8% of his body is dead. his organs are essentially dead - they do nothing for him. he cannot eat human food, it will not digest - it doesnāt taste good to him and heās bound to just get sick from eating it. his body gets no nutrient for it. nothing to help it remain and function.
3) does theodore have a heartbeat? yes! he actually does. itās incredibly faint and very very slow. anyone trying to listen to it will need to be incredibly patient as they sit there with a stethoscope in complete silence to be able to hear it. it nearly struggles to beat but itās purpose is to help get that blood he ingests through his body.Ā
4) does theodore glow in the sun? whatās his appearance like? no! he canāt glow in the sunlight. as mentioned above, he kinda could burst into flames. physically he is pale, finger nails are slightly longer with rounded points and resemble something to frosted glass. they are hard and durable and able to puncture skin very easily. his top canineās are sharper and longer than that of the average humans, bottom canines are rather short but still just as sharp. his eyes remain true to the colour they were as a human - deep blue. his hair is long, hanging past his shoulders down to his breastbone. itās straight and blond. he can cut it but it will wind up back at itās normal length about a day or two later. his body is never changing, never aging. it is to remain in itās present state that it had died within.Ā
5) how can you kill his kind? well a stake to the heart certainly wont do it. the only ways to guarantee that his death would truly be final would be 1) burnt alive until his body turns to ash. the next way would be to dismember him and burn the pieces.Ā
