I wanted to draw more wylder x revenant since most of my stuff of them is from my backlog/already on bsky but unfortunately i got intimidated by all the details
so here's this humble shitpost instead
from the image under the cut:
desire for intimacy.

i can't post the Whole Thing on this website for you-know-why reasons but i got a sketch page with commentary by coco-100-iluvya on bsky (through crepe!) and i just think it's so precious. i love them.
Could we hear more of your thoughts on Wyldolleye? I’ve seen Wyldeye and Wyldoll never Dolleye and it’s delicious.
of course!! thanks for asking :D
so first and foremost i am not immune to trios. i really love a good mixed dynamic and a very... popular fantasy type is the desirability and overflowing adoration that can be brought into a dynamic by having more than just one pair. i've had trio ships on and off a lot! so wyldeyedoll (or whatever configuration of the ship name, that's just the one i prefer to use) was kind of a natural progression for me.
i find something really really delectable about the specific dynamic that i think revenant--the girl who rages against the night and is so full of hope and faith conquering fear, a beacon of humanity--brings to the two characters with objectively the worst and most tragic endings of the game. i was thinking about how, in my opinion, ironeye's ending seems to be the main "darkness" ending: slaying the elder corpse and keeping the night going eternally. i drew this conclusion based on the fact that all characters have a darkness outfit, including wylder. which i know is more of a technical thing game design wise (they just weren't likely to leave anyone out at risk of it being "unfair"), but when i get on my little lore detective soap box, i'm using whatever's at my disposal.
i'm a big tragedy enjoyer, especially when "love conquers all" is tipped on its head to "the love was there but it wasn't enough". i know i haven't written a tragic/bad ending yet, but it's something that i've been eyeballing. i am nothing if not a fan of characters dealing with messy and complicated emotions.
revenant wants to defeat the night: what happens when the two people she falls in love with, who love her, betray their supposed collective end goal?
for both ironeye and wylder: what does it take to change your perspective on the hopes and fears that represent the fulcrum of your entire existence? is love enough? ... or is it not?
basically i like to build character relationships and stories around these types of questions--the more those questions make me want to gnaw on glass the better.
some of it also came about because as i was doing my september writes challenge i was really enjoying the angle i ended up developing for ironeye. i am not immune to a brooding edgy man, obviously, and the sort of gruff, observant, calculated, and cold feeling i get from toying around with ironeye is very alluring. i also love the "cold heart melts" trope a lot. personally, i get a lot of fulfillment out of revenant--tsundere and cold as she is, still being a beacon of warmth and hope.
i play with themes of humanity and life with revenant a lot, and those are the main things she brings to the table. child born of death, tragedy, and sacrifice, forced to become herself, to learn who she is, to break free of the shackles of her past in which everything was decided for her, learning how to live and navigate life and love. personally i can see how those aspects would be terribly alluring for two men who are dealing with the world-bearing weight of the night: destruction, nihilism, purgatory, and death.
i am unfortunately not an artist (i haven't drawn in a hot minute and was never very good--i've obviously put a lot more time into writing) but i do work a lot through vibes and visuals in my head, and picture something of a reversible portrait featuring revenant on one side, hands clasped as if in prayer, but staring out at the viewer with shocked, wide eyes and a tear down her cheek, tied up by ribbons and, when reversed, it appears with her hanging over the two men facing 3/4 in opposite directions, ironeye holding his dagger dripping with blood, and wylder clutching the silver tear. maybe it's silly idk if other people work this way but it gets the gears in my brain whirring lmfao
i also just in general really like super angsty romance, so this is prime territory for me. i'm working on developing irondoll more on and off as i work through the other really super original-world wyldoll fic i'm picking at all month (i should have an update for that one soon).
If I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
