“please tell me that you just happen to have almost five cups of olives on you, right now.” he started with an attempt at a pleading look on his face. he still didn’t understand why the other even needed that many olives and was praying for an explanation.

they paused, as if giving the other time to process that. “to find a plant, or to help me look for a plant actually, see i was helping professor sprout by taking the socratea exorrhiza for a walk but it started running and i lost it. it’s only a seedling, you see, so it’s about two feet talk, a dark red colour and it walks using its roots.” he had not actually been helping professor sprout, given that it was his plant that he had snuck into the school but that was a story for another day. 

Marisol groaned to herself as she walked into the Great Hall and headed immediately towards the first pot of coffee she saw, with no concerns as to whether it was at the Hufflepuff table or not. Her head was pounding and her next stop would have to be whoever might be able to provide her with a headache cure but caffeine was a higher priority in the moment. “Excuse me,” she said, planning to lean over the person in the way of her and her coffee but instead she found herself rolling her eyes at judgement radiating off some of the students sat there. “Yes, yes, all the professors have said it. This is the most important year yet, but haven’t all the years so far been the most important year yet? This is also my last year and that means I want to enjoy it and if that means I’m hungover on a school day then so be it! Are you going to pass me the coffee or not?”

                      the  crowded  hallways  were  no  help  to  her  mood  ,  only  causing  her  to  stress  ,  which  was  something  she tried  to  avoid.    ❛   EXCUSE  ME  ! ❜    a  sing - song  voice  tries  to  pierce  through  the  noise  of  the crowd  to  no  avail .  “excuse  me!”  more  harsh .  a  second  failed  attempt.   she  fully  stops  walking  through  the  crowd,  hands  now  out  in  front  of  her  ,  exasperated.  “ MOVE ! ”  a  few  now  scatter.  “i’m,  like,  literally  head  girl .”

This was always the biggest downside of a new school: learning your way around when all your classmates already knew without thinking about it and so forgot that you might not have a clue how to get from ancient runes to divination. Adding onto the fact that they were both electives and so everybody was heading in different directions and not necessarily in the same class next made it even more difficult. He couldn’t just follow somebody and hope for the best. Instead, he was left to hope he could remember which way he had gone the week before when everybody was still taking pity on him. Divination was up, at any rate, so it couldn’t be too difficult. At least, that was what he thought until he found the staircase he had gone up didn’t lead where he thought it had before and the door that he hoped would take him through to the right side of the school turned out to be a wall just pretending to be a door. “Fucking stupid school,” he muttered under his breath, because while all magical buildings had their quirks, Hogwarts really took the biscuit in that respect. In frustration, he hit the wall.
