picard is president. he’s the child of french immigrants (but i’m keeping the can’t speak french bit) and a former governor. he has a doctorate in anthropology/archaeology and possibly has signs of irumodic syndrome

riker is his chief of staff. fiercely loyal,  started off not knowing picard but recommended by the party. he keeps being asked if he wants to run for office but he wants to stay at the white house

who’s the vice president? beverly, who became a senator after her husband was killed in a plane crash on a trip where picard was present. She was meant to be a placeholder until a special election, but she fell into the role and won the seat. she’s still a doctor and helps picard with treating/hiding the irumodic syndrome. they have that ust but can’t act on it for obvious reasons

data is deputy chief of staff. he seems almost emotionless and is seen as the enforcer because he will do almost anything to achieve their goals without blinking. he is banned from giving press conferences after making a reporter cry (he didn’t mean to, he just kept talking)

deanna is the press secretary. she has a preternatural ability to know what someone wants to hear and maybe has something going on with riker... or worf...or tasha (depends on who you ask). her mother is the ambassador to the u.s. from betazed, a small Mediterranean country, and has a tendency to flirt with the president

Geordi  and o’brien and barclay are the comms team; the speechwriters (bc engineering and speech writing are similar to me somehow). O’brien leaves during the second term to help a democrat’s long shot run for Louisiana governor.

Tasha is the head of the secret service detail assigned to picard, She’s killed in an assassination attempt while protecting picard and deanna

worf is the white house council. he keeps a bat’leth on the wall in his office and everyone assumes it’s decorative but no one knows for sure

guinan is the president’s secretary. she is probably the most powerful person in the building. no one is sure how she got the job or how she knows picard but they are really close
