to be very clear: canon!kismeses wvar shrimply is not true in Any universe, Ever.

fanon!kismeses wvar to me is like. it stems from the ar talks about can town when he first sees it. he's challenging wv on it-- he's saying look, your thing is good, but i could do it better. they are challengers to each other, rivals pushing each other forward to be better as people.

wv challenges ar's perception of what is "good", of what is "right". looks at ar and says oh, you want to be good? okay. prove it, then. what's right, in your eyes? can you explain it? can you tell me why i'm not right, why you are? he takes ar's preconceived notions and flips them on their head, replacing them with blank space that ar has to grow into.

ar challenges wv's kindness. tests the boundaries of who deserves resolution and peace in their home, points out the flaws in his work because those are the only points that need commentating- yeah, fucking obviously can town is awesome, why should he call attention to that with a compliment? here's all the holes in its exterior, all the things wv needs to figure out solutions for, all the holes for growth that wv could pull on.

wv annoys ar with his affable nature. you can't just fucking make friends with everyone. someone's going to get you hurt, going to get you killed, going to get you fucked over in so many ways. someone's going to take advantage of you and you know that and you STILL treat everyone with inherent kindness and its INFURIATING.

ar annoys wv in the exact opposite way. why cant you just see the good in the moment. you cant just assume everyone's an enemy. you're going to lose people you could have loved, you're going to pass by an opportunity that could have been everything, you're going to get yourself isolated from everyone and then what'll you have. its INFURIATING!!!!!!!
