I think this shot is superbly menacing. Here we have his brown eyes widened, his hair as unkempt as his fur cloak, and the slight blood around the wound to his chest is sinfully delicious. The red around his eyelids and the greyish-yellow makeup they put on him brought out the sense he was a ghoul. He's just... ugh, he's perfect.
