Clan Wulf: The Bloodlines
The Wulf Clan is divided into three separate families, each hailing from different regions some of that same nation some of others. Each family acts likes it own independent pack but when the horns of war call, they unite, sometimes with ease other times with tensions. Normally under the guide of a War Leader or of the Clan’s Grand Shaman. Those of the Wulf clan are commonly Hyur Highlander or Midlander, although the Clan is known in adapting skilled warriors, trackers, hunters and wise shamans into their fold for the sake of the clan’s health.
The Grand Shaman – The Greatwulf
Named after the first recorded shaman of the clan, a man whose wisdom, well spoken words and magic prowess aided in forcing the at the time twin families of the clan from fighting one another to vanquish a common foe. Now the title serves as the spiritual guide who travels between the families of the clan, offering aid in medical practices either it be of magic or herbal remedies, spiritual guidance or one to vents woes and worries too.
The words of the Greatwulf command respect as if it was law, when families of the clan fight or squabble he is the mediator in nearly every time. As well as it is the Greatwulves duties to work alongside the clans Warleader in times of battle or hardships. When joining for clan wide hunts, feasts and festivals the Greatwulf is one of those figures who helps direct such events.
The Greatwulf is chosen by the current Greatwulf, one shaman of every clan is selected and sent to the current Greatwulf. Then he gives the lesser shamans trials and tasks to complete to learn more of them. Upon completion he uses what he has learn to select his successor.
The Bloodlines – Families of the Clan
There was once two families that made the clan, a larger family that had split and migrated from one another. Although there is the addition of the third family that is now three generations old.
Bloodline of The Icewulf – The Icewulf Family, House Wulf. Is the newest and smaller branch of the Wulf Clan. Founded by the self-exiled warrior, Jorgen Icewulf. His mate, eldest son and many warriors of the Mountianwulf Blood followed him to a new home they would eventually find within the snow-covered hills of Coerthas. Under the service of House Fortemps and over two generations becoming a minor noble house. This family is renowned for their well-trained war hounds and the berserker like warriors. Although their methods and décor can be rather barbaric. From their practices, behavior in battle and attire can all be called into question. Even more so some of the rituals they go through to honor their ancestors or the odd coactions they drink before battle.
Bloodline of the Mountainwulf – The Blackwulves, founding family.  One of the oldest families and the self-proclaimed original family of the clan. Hailing from the lineage of Dag Mountainwulf the eldest son of the Wulfather, the original founder of the clan its families, and traditions. Much like their snow-covered kin to Coerthas. They are heavily rooted in traditions, but unlike those of Coerthas or The Fringes they have modernized them. Even more so with their recent siding with the Garleans during the occupation of their ancestral homes hidden away between The Peaks and The Lochs. Those of this family were either skilled, disciplined warriors or silver-tongued and sharp-witted individuals.  With the rise of Magitek and the influences of their time as Garlean benefactors many of the youngest generation found themselves to be incredibly savvy and mastered various technological advances, such as one of the family’s heiress, Aesir Blackwulf.
Although once the family had broken away from the Empire during Ala Mhigo’s liberation. Their once allies had turned on them, destroying their homes and ancient home of the Clan itself. Many of the Mountianwulves blood, or at the time Blackwulf family had fallen. Although with the ancestors to thank, there are many who survived or were sparred from the carnage. The last leader of their house is currently missing or slain.
Bloodline of the Treewulf – The Woodland Wulves, The Secluded. This bloodline of the clan is as ancient as the Mountainwulf bloodline. Hailing from the blood of Ivar Treewulf the younger brother to Dag Mountainwulf. The clan split in two after their father, Wulfather had passed from our world without naming neither of his sons’ heirs. They fought again and again unable to best one another. Bitterly they split the clan in two. Both proudly boasting that they are the original family, the original bloodline. Now like the other families, the ones of today and the ones they have outlived. The Treewulves bloodline has inspired and brought many great warriors into the clan and world. Normally in form of powerful shamans or quick, decisive archers, and hunters. Compared to the other two there are more shamans in this bloodline then the others, and they honor their traditions to the same if not higher barbaric levels of their Coerthan counterparts.
Interactions with this family is limited due to their secluded nature taken after the fall of Ala Mhigo, and when the Blackwulves of the Mountain bloodline submitted to Garlean rule. There village and home is known to few besides it resides hidden away, supposedly in the Fringes. Although they are one of the oldest bloodlines little more is known about them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Revamping the Wulf clan with the FC slowly coming back around the corner. This is the first post of many.
The Families Of The Clan
Clan Wulf:
The Wulf Clan mix mashed familes that share the traditions and the name of the Wulf. They were once scattered across Gyr Abania. The Wulves of the Peaks, The Wulves of the Fringes, The Wulves of the Lochs and so on. Although the recent few hundred cycles have seen the sprout of the Wulves of Coerthas, some of those who left the Lochs splitting from the Blackwulf bloodline over the rivalry of the First Blackwulf and his twin Icewulf.
(OOC: The Families each have their own quirks and traditions that branch off of the Clan’s traditions they make them unique from the other families of the Wulf Clan. This is a basic rough draft of the families, not all are fully fleshed out but a brief snippet of each at the very least is listed below! All are up to be changed and altered to fit the players of this sub-groups of the Wulves and the lore of their respective regions.)Â
Wulves of The Lochs:
The now Blackwulf Family, the largest of the families thus far. Its members all though scattered to the wind, only three are known with its name with their attempts of revival is Aesir Blackwulf, her sister Aelin Stormwulf and their father the elusive and silver tongued Lord Blackwulf the second to take such name and title. After the majority of the warriors left to form their own family. Those with the tongues of silver, sharp witted, clever, pride and cunning. Politicians, merchants, diplomats and others of that sort are found from with family. Although promising warriors and leaders have also emerged from the Wulves of the Lochs.
Wulves of The Peaks:
Much like the Wulves of the Fringes there is little known about those who dwelled within the peaks, or if even are left alive. The founder of the Coerthas Wulves, the now fallen Icewulf spoke of their tendieces to attempt to train and ride griffons. Noting a handful of riders came from this family of the clan. If this was true or not only time will tell. All that is for certain is that the warriors of the Peaks that hailed from the Wulf family had a more organized and disciplined way of war then those that now hail from Coerthas.
Wulves of the Fringes:
Tomes of the living Wulves, speak little of this family. Although there is some information, such as the noting that their natural abilities as trackers, medicine makers, shamans were the most common of this family of the clan. The current Greatwulf was born to this family, although many question if he still breathes as he has not been seen in almost two cycles.
Wulves of Coerthas:
The self exiled, Jorgen Icewulf had crossed and mortally wounded his own twin brother out of rage and jealousy. Although none remember this as both brothers seem to have stricken it from their records, only a few elders remember the event, if they dare speak of it. When Icewulf had left, many of the Loch’s warriors followed him, some of them the most ferocious and feral like warriors, his lover and a few of the family who sided with him in his conflict against his brother.Seeking glory, blood in the name of redemption to be worthy of returning home proper. In this quest earned them a debt of blood in the service of Fortemps in Coerthas, the savage like warriors of the Wulf family called the land of Coerthas home. Seeking out the most worthy prey they could have found, Dragons and other deadly predators of Coerthas and Dravania. Not obtaining the best of welcomes from the natives of the land. But they served under Fortemps till several moons after the Dragonsong War had ended. Those born of this family share their founders natural savagery when the heat of battle overtakes them, along with being the most stubborn and maybe the most prideful of the families.
