Tally Hall used to be a place, and then it became a band. And right now, I think, it’s returned to being a place— just not a physical one. It’s a liminal space, a spiritual location. Tally Hall is where you go when you’re far away from where you grew up, but you want to feel at home. It’s where you can be surrounded by friends when you’re feeling alone. And Tally Hall is where you can freely imagine yourself as the person that you want to be, but aren’t quite yet.
You’ll get there. We’ll all get there. By the time we make it, maybe Tally Hall will have announced a new tour.
But in the meantime, I think I’ll listen to Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. Maybe you’ll join me?
