WHTM started in Harrisburg as WTPA, vintage photos

WHTM-TV, also known as ABC27, started in Harrisburg as WTPA on channel 71.

According to the book "Harrisburg Broadcasting" by Timothy P. Portzline, the station began operating on July 6, 1953.

WTPA moved to channel 27 in 1957 and changed its call signs to WHTM in 1980.
