It had been a random weekend back in May when Maia decided to go visit her father after his incessant asking. However, she refused to go alone. After asking, Lucy thankfully accepted Maia’s request on joining her on her visits to her father’s house. Making her way to Lucy’s dorm, Maia entered and waited as Lucy finished packing. Once Lucy was done, the two took a moment to sit and talk as Maia explained her current relationship with her father. “Uh… my dad left me and my mom when I was six. I reconnected with him when I was 12 when…” Maia paused. She didn’t want to lie to Lucy but she was also afraid of saying the truth without feeling the pain that she worked so hard to bury every morning. “I moved back in with him when my mother was no longer around.” She concluded, trying to make it seem like what actually happened, didn’t. “I mean, whatever.” She said brushing off the topic.
