stop being a snob.
β I'M NOT BEING A SNOB, I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HOW YOU GUYS OPERATE. β looking at the spot that they gave him to sleep, it was around a campfire in the middle of the woods. not an inn in sight, nor a proper camp, with tents or anything to protect them from the weather. they were a rag tag group, but he didn't expect them to stay in such conditions. he anticipated some form of order when he had joined them. didn't they have allies? someone that they could rely on for some help. anything that would have avoided sleeping under the moonlight, with no cover to the outside world. he didn't think that made him a snob, he was just used to travelling with an army at his disposal. something that would have set up a proper camp for the prince to spend his nights. he had warships before, this was a massive downgrade. sitting down on his designated spot, he crosses his arms over his chest.
β you cannot be serious, this is how we will be spending our night. there isn't some town nearby, we could get a room. anything to avoid sleeping out in the woods, we aren't made for this. β crossing his legs over each other, he would still put pressure on her to find another angle. one that would find them in a proper bed. he didn't want to spend his night sleeping on the cold ground of the middle of the woods. sure, they were between locations at the moment, but didn't they have an opportunity to find somewhere that would have provided them more comfort? something that would have put them in a place that didn't bring upon the fear that some wild animal might come & surprise them in the night. β it doesn't have to do with being a snob, it's just basic survival instincts. this isn't smart. what if someone finds us here? you're not going to suggest that you're going to stay up and keep watch for half the night, then switch with me, are you? β he asks, cocking an eyebrow at her. that was the last thing that he wanted to do, give up half his night of sleep just because she wouldn't find somewhere proper for them to stay.
