logically, she knew this day would have to come. frankly, she’s surprised they even managed to keep it from the twins for this long. she just...wasn’t expecting it to be today. and she wasn’t expecting hope to be the one to tell her. especially when the tribrid has enough to deal with on her own. two dead parents, too much power for one person to handle, not to mention the normal teenage angst. caroline lets out a slow breath, processing the information.  ❝ but it is. ❞  she’s getting used to that by now. her eyes close for a moment and her shoulders drop, though whether it’s from relief or from guilt, she’s not sure.  ❝ how’d they take it? ❞  it’s probably selfish to ask, but the selfish part of her needs to know. she’s lost everyone she’s ever loved. everyone she’s ever cared about. and now she stands to lose her daughters too. she has a right to be a little selfish.          /          @wtchseascn​   +   continued.

― the last thing he had expected to see was a random, young blonde when he entered his home. there wasn’t much that scared kai, because the fact of the matter was - he was pretty damn powerful. since his return to earth, however, he kept to himself, not wanting to give anyone a reason to throw him into yet another prison world. looks could be deceiving though, and so he didn’t just write off the fact that the girl couldn’t have been just as powerful. stepping back outside the door, he glanced at the number on the apartment. “yep, last i checked this was still where i hang my hat. not that i have a hat. note to self, get a hat.” shutting the door behind him, he turned back to the blonde. “so are you here to kill me or lock me in some prison?”
