i simply think that the market for young adult fantasy would be far less boring if we had more jewish-inspired fantasy but wtf do i know
#*t#i say as i spite-write a YA jewish horror fantasy#anyway this is apropos of (mostly) white YA readers bitching that the genre is oversaturated and the tropes are boring#WRONG. INCORRECT.#the genre will not be oversaturated until marginalized writers get the same treatment that white writers have gotten for YEARS#the tropes are not overused until WE get our shot at using them#'ugh enemies to lovers is so overdone' NOPE. not until we have 38462 enemies-to-lovers books by marginalized writers out there#once again begging the YA fantasy community to read something that is NOT the grishaverse#(which i love but is not the end-all-be-all of YA fantasy sorry to say)#idk where this rant came from but when has that ever stopped me
