I learned something today from a post I made sometime ago.
We take for granted what we can see.
We take for granted what we can see. And we let wither what could give us life, because we couldn't see it and if we could, we'd tear its petals off....
If we can't see something, we don't cling too it. We don't believe in it. We don't love it. Usually, we choose not too feel it.
You know everyone says things like, "I have to see it too believe it" or even, "walk by faith not sight".
If someone doesn't give a physical response to a question, a action, etc. We might feel as though they let it pass without second thought. If someone doesn't treat us like others we might think they don't think of us the way we had hoped. Even if inside they don't feel that way. You can be on opposite sides of the room and think they are ignoring you but their thoughts are of you.
Think about it like this, if there is calm water in a clear glass you might only see the glass upon glancing. You might think it is empty, with no contents too offer you. You might label it as tasteless or none nutritional. When in reality, it holds one of the most life giving contents.
But you glanced. It didn't sparkle pinks back at you. It didn't tempt you with movements. It didn't do anything other than be transparent. And therefore, you didn't pay attention. You didn't thirst for what you saw. You didn't pick it up and carry it around. You didn't believe it would give you any benefit because you glances and thought it was empty. You didn't see what it was inside. So you go for the glass that sparkles or the one that's already coloured so you can't see inside.. and then you wonder why it's not transparent, or truthful, healthy, calm, or life giving..
Next time you think someone is being distant or not giving a reaction back that should have been or treating you the way you thought should have happened. The next time you glance at something and get frustrated without coming up too it, observing it, remember too look at their contents closely. Come close and observe it,close your eyes and feel it instead of just passing by, or reacting in a negative way, or just plucking it off the counter and spilling what was good.
Sometimes what we can't see, is really what we need to take care of. ♡
