Have you had any scenes that you've had to cut from a story, only to use it in a different story? Or cut a part in any story that you wish you could have used in it?
hello and how are you?
Thank you for this wonderful ask! This is actually a very interesting question to answer, and think about, so we are excited to get this ask down and answered!
We won't be focusing on any one WIP in particular but in general, this tends to happen a lot! We have a lot of works and snippets that we write out the first time, with one solid intention in mind, but then we will either come back or realize that the scene/thought does not work out for what we are trying to do! So we tend to have a lot of thoughts and scenes that either get left out and never used, or maybe we find them later and give them a different story where they fit a bit better!
Also, fun fact, our writing is very much, "write out the scene, review it before a second draft, write out something that is entirely different if we want different vibes or think we can do the writing better."
We actually used to get marked down in our assessments at school for this; we did not really edit and review and revise, we kind of just, wrote it once, read it once, and then rewrite it differently and with much more confidence bc we did it once, we know how to do it better the second time around! :D
TLDR: Our drafts are always so different and shifted and adjusted, whenever we revisit things. ヾ(≧ ▽ ≦)ゝ
