Finished wrist warmers! I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me that a yarn needle was a crucial tool for make clothing, but now that I have one, I’ve got finished projects and no loose ends!
These wristers are from this free pattern, and are a super easy beginner project. It’s literally a rectangle sewn together with a thumb gap. This is also where I tried out blocking to see how it worked. It was pretty effective.
Still a little wonky because I didn’t have enough pins to make the edges perfect (I bought some new pins too), but it really helped the edge curling.
This might be painter blasphemy, but I used a stretched and primed canvas that I never ended up using for painting as my blocking surface. It’s a decent sized canvas, and also a little crooked because I’m crap at stretching large canvases, but with a towel on top, it was the perfect surface to stab my pins into and keep a stretched shape. I could probably even still paint on it if I wanted to, but for now it’s going to be my blocking canvas.
