GHJGHKG THANK YOU ITS JUST A LOT a lot of people keep saying they dont know anything about wrestling whenever I talk about wrestletale so to give a basic rundown that wrestletale is going off of: pro wrestling is an entertainment sport that mixes athletics with theatrical performance, but technically for wrestletale this is like, the story being presentated as real ( known as kayfabe in wrestling!) and it really just is fucking. monster wrestling basically

there’s also three types of wrestlers typically: there’s Faces, the protags/’’good guys’’ ( like kris, frisk, etc) which are the designated as good guys in the ring, who are cheered on by the audience and are basically the wrestlers meant to be rooted for! So those are basically the

Then there’s the heels, typically characters like Susie and Lancer --- they’re the villains/’’bad guys’’ that typically play dirty and are there to be booed and looked down on, characters that fuel the audience to cheer for the protagonist! They play dirty, break rules, intentionally act grotesque or unamnored ( remember in MTT’s fight when you can do a ‘’Heel turn’’ and Frisk scoffs at the audience? and the audience awaits Frisk’s demise? that’s basically the sum of what a Heel does! Intetionally makes themselves an enemy of the audience).

HOWEVER Heels/Faces dont need to automatically mean good/bad, but are just general descriptions for wrestlers as wrestling involves storylines, rivalries, etc --- cause technically speaking, all the monsters in UT can be read as Heels as they’re ‘’enemies’’, but characters like Undyne specifically exhibit traits of a Face as she’s beloved by the audience, so for the script on a Frisk vs Undyne fight Frisk would be the heel and Undyne would be the Face as everybody is rooting for Frisk’s demise ( and its flipped in MTT’s fight --- MTT sees himself as a Face but he does a heel turn on Alphys, and Frisk is the one getting the audience going, so MTT would be a heel-turn and Frisk would be the face).

For the actual fucking.... au I got off track ghhg, it really is basically just undertale but if it was a wrestling angle (fictional storyline), but presented kayfabe as a real thing ---- Monsters fighting any humans that come to them for their soul in hopes of being freed, except it’s WRESTLING, so something akin to wrestling for a Champions belt ( in wrestling you really can just have the idea that they can consume souls and gain power, so there really is no need to change much....).

though then it also twists some stuff around, like the characters at the beginning ( Toriel and Papyrus) being C-Show wrestlers, Undyne and Muffet ( + MTT classic?) being B show wrestlers,  and Alphys(/Mettaton) and Asgore being A-show wrestlers, so it’s stacked like the protags climbing up the ranks of rookie wrestling to top promotion wrestlers, with Asgore being the champion as he has gathered the most souls (six) and only needs one more to free them entirely.

Each character also has their own special title, entrance outfit, finishing move, etc --- like for instance, Chara and Asriel are a tag-team of “The Demon That Comes when Their Name is Called’’ and “The Fallen Prince’’, with their entrance outfits being something like that of a Delta Rune-emblazoned garb with flowers, and if they fuse together their nickname becomes GOD OF HYPERDEATH and their finishing move being the Reset --- this goes on w/ other characters, like, Undyne being ‘’The Undyne’’ and her finishing move being the Spear of Justice (probably something like an elbow drop lmao), and her entrance outfit being a full suit of armor a la Kenny Omega and his Kris Dreemurr Darkener world entrance cosplay

It really does just focus more on the characters rather than a story as the OG Undertale story fits PERFECTLY for wrestling, so it’s just more about altering the characters to fit a wrestling gimmick ( like Alphys being a genius wrestler who made a robot to wrestle in her place, aka MTT, but all MTT wants to do is entertain people.)
