Here are a few more wrestling characters I started! 

First, is Umeko Fujimoto, a joshi-puroresu wrestler with a Y2K theme and UFO obsession. Next, is Marialena Dufort, a princess-themed wrestler with a lackluster attitude. And third is Súcubo, a lucha rudo with a “succubus” theme. 

Once they’re done, I’ll introduce you to them! (I’m still working on the backstories for Súcubo and Umeko. Umeko will be on Art Fight, so I have to finish her before the end of this month, lol.)

Meet Umeko Fujimoto, AKA Alien Heart!

Umeko Fujimoto (she/her) is a UFO-enthusiast, joshi-puroresu pro wrestler!

Before becoming a wrestler, Umeko was a socialite who turned into a hikikomori after feeling overwhelmed by societal standards. During her seclusion, Umeko had a dream where she was greeted by an alien. It urged her to break out of her internal turmoil and to live life to its fullest. With the alien's persuasion, Umeko was able to live a happier life. She auditioned, trained, and eventually signed with AOTR (Assailants of the Ring, based in Tokyo, Japan) at age 17 and had her pro wrestling debut at 19. Her crowd approval was enormous, and she’s been regularly booked ever since. Umeko has also been able to create her own merchandise through AOTR. These products mainly feature a cartoon character depiction of Umeko. Umeko has been known to alter her own products to match her streetwear style.

In Umeko’s spare time, she likes to research aliens on the internet, go shopping with her friends, and play claw machine games. She’s especially fond of claw machine games where you can win UFO-themed prizes. If she wins a keychain, she will attach it to her phone, purse, or belt; rotating her keychain collection to match her daily outfits.

Hey 2023! ✨

I know I’m late by a month, but I’ve been quite busy... I’m in two weddings this year, and most of my time has been spent working on the Save The Date cards for one of them. :P

Anyway, I took time in between the wedding stuff and was able to redesign Hikaru Akiyama; aka Hibana! I really love the way she turned out! I also love how the t-shirt artwork turned out too. ^_^

Here are a few more sketches of stuff I’ve been working on. 

1) Súcubo (a lucha rudo) in a casual outfit. I’ve been struggling to find what I wanted her to wear outside of the ring, and decided that this one (after 3 complete tries) was the one I think I’m gonna stick with. 

2-3) A wrestler I was working on that I think I’m going to completely remake. She was based around the idea of electricity, and while researching stuff that was “electric” I came across a guitar belonging to Toshihiko Takamizawa of The Alfee. And now I want to design a fancy guitar and give this wrestler a music background.

I randomly decided to redraw her yesterday, and from there I just kept pushing myself to see how far I could improve her design. Now, she looks like this. ^_^

Hey there. I’ve got a quick little update on my final top five wrestlers; CMYK and Hattie “The Highway” Briggs. First two pics are of CMYK (Candice Mallory), one of my original top five wrestlers. I’m struggling with her everyday outfit. I want it to be chaotic, but I’m not there yet. This is where I stopped on April 10th. Her wrestling outfit is finalized, just not outlined yet. I outline my sketches once both outfits are satisfactory. (I’ll introduce them once they’re completed.) Next two after that are of Hattie “The Highway” Briggs, another one of my OG top five wrestlers, and the first one I ever designed. The last time I worked on Hattie was on March 7th. Her wresting outfit is based off sports cars and originally, muscle cars. She’s mostly done, just need to decide which of the two everyday outfits I’ll use for her final artwork (really leaning towards the mechanic one...). I’ll also introduce Hattie once she’s complete.
