WreckFest Scuba Diving Weekends in the Thousand Islands: Total Adventures!
Our WreckFest weekends in the Thousand Islands are famous...
We do 6 dives on fresh water wrecks around Brockville. 3 dives per day.
If you've never dove the Thousand Islands, you need to try it at least once in your life. There are scuba divers coming from all over North America to dive in this fresh water wreck sanctuary. And it's in our own backyard!
At the same time, you could complete 3 dive specialty courses: wreck diving, deep diving, and nitrox diver. For these courses, we have theory evenings before going to the WreckFest weekend. These 3 courses would get you on your way to achieve the "Master Scuba Diver" rating. Ask us about it!
If you are thinking about a career in diving... As a divemaster, maybe? This experience you'll gain during one of these weekends will proof highly valuable later on in your career.
It's also a fun week-end among friends... You're coming?
The cost is $299, plus GST. It includes one night in a Brockville hotel (Saturday night, double occupancy), 3 boat dives on Saturday and 3 boat dives on Sunday.
The first dive on Saturday departs early afternoon. Our plan is that you take a good night sleep, at home, in your bed, on Friday night; and that you get up at a normal hour on Saturday morning to drive to Brockville. We do not want to head out for 3 deep & wreck dives with tired scuba divers full of caffeine. Your safety should be Priority One.
On Sunday though, we leave early in the morning since we all slept in Brockville. That way, we finish in early/mid afternoon on Sunday and you can get home at a decent hour, in preparation to going back to work on Monday morning :(
We insist on staying together at the same hotel on Saturday night (included in the price) for various reasons including: a) scuba diving is as much a social activity as it is a sport; b) it gives us a chance to review our Saturday dives together and plan our Sunday dives.
On the dive boat, with you, you'll have a Total Diving divemaster AND a Total Diving instructor.
We have 3 WreckFest weekends planned for 2011:
July 16-17
August 20-21
October 1-2
During all 3 weekends, we remain on the "Canadian side" of the seaway. We do not go on the American wrecks to prevent you from having to deal with all the various issues related to American immigration and security.
You should expect the water temperature to be around 70F - which is about the same temperature you would encounter in the Bahamas during your winter vacations :)
Stop by the Total Diving dive shop in NDG or dial 514-482-1890 to reserve your spot.
Looking forward to blowing bubbles with you, soon!
ATTENTION! Before the end of July, register and pay for your WreckFest weekend WITH deep diving AND wreck diving specialty courses, and we will give you: a) 50% off on nitrox diver course; b) 500 Aeroplan miles; c) $75 rebate on each ones of the wreck diving and deep diving course.
