#Repost @worldpressphoto "The dead body was found after several days. Unfortunately, if you don’t know the way, you could end up on the edge of a ravine". On 21 March, 2017 the French newspaper Nice-Matin reported that a body of man had been found on the French side of the mountain. His body was retrieved along the Grimaldi track, at the border between Menton and Ventimiglia, one of the crossing points used by migrants. It is referred to as the 'death pass' because of its difficulty. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hundreds of migrants, most of them from Africa, are stuck in the Italian border town of Ventimiglia, sleeping under a bridge and along the river. They try to cross the border illegally walking towards France along the Ventimiglia-Menton train line by night or through the mountains between Italy and France. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hi! The sea in the Bay of Bengal is rising, affecting the hundreds of thousands of villagers living on the low islands in the south. When Cyclone Aila hit Bangladesh in May 2009, dikes and villages were totally destroyed and over 300 people were killed.
