“maybe  not  -  but  i  need  every  fuckin’  dollar  i  can  get.”       this  is  a  woman,  desperate  for  her  freedom  &  the  freedom  of  those  around  her  -  she  doesn’t  have  the  luxury  of  being  non-materialistic  any  longer.  her  lips  set  on  edge  as  she  surveys  him,  something  between  twisted  action  &  regret  behind  warm,  brown  eyes;       “you  gonna  help  me  or  not?”

there’s  an  involuntary  wince  when  she  feels  a  hand  at  the  back  of  her  neck,  guiding  her  through  a  volatile,  intoxicated  crowd  -  and  while  she  doesn’t  completely  refute  the  aid,  eliza  is  combative  in  compliance.  only  when  they  reach  his  desired  point  does  she  swat  at  jack’s  hand,  quickly  turning  on  her  heel  &  exhibiting  the  composure  of  a  woman  scorned;       “i’m  not  th’runt  of  the  litter  -”       she  hisses,  smacking  at  his  hand  once  again,       “-  y’don’t  gotta  treat  me  like  one.”

"There are easy ways?" he inquires innocently, seemingly unfazed by Nicholas' confession; but on the inside, his rabbit-swift heart thumps away, his pulse beating in all the wrong places. "If there are, then I wish you found them, too."

Please bring all musically-inclined kids and teens to Mike, he loves jamming with them and teaching them a song or two on their preferred instruments!! There's a few good years before game events during which they could meet and hang out together. He's just happy to spend time around people who appreciate music as much as he does and share his gifts with others. 🥺

focus  &  effort  creases  her  features  as  eliza  holds  nicholas  by  his  forearms  -  not  forcefully,  and  definitely  not  angrily  -  only  as  a  means  to  regain  his  attention  to  her.  if  he’s  irritated,  let  him  take  it  out  on  her  resolve  -  stubbornness  &  all.       “hey  -  look  at  me,”       she  chastises,  squeezing  gently  at  his  skin,       “not  them.  i’ll  find  you  your  dinner,  i  promise  -  jus’  ...  leave  them  alone,  alrigh’?”       tone  softens,  and  her  grip  slackens,       “they  didn’t  do  anythin’  wrong.”

“an’  yours  isn’t?”       an  eyebrow  raises,  hands  rest  on  her  hips,  and  the  inquisitive  lilt  of  eliza’s  tone  leans  more  accusatory  than  curious  -  though,  the  smile  on  her  face  begs  to  differ  from  most  antagonistic  intent.  (most.)       “my  business  is  hardly  anythin’  you  need  to  worry  about,  mister  skelding  -  unless,  that  is,  you’re  jus’  worried  about  the  well-being  of  an  innocent,  young  woman.”       (that’s  certainly  laughable.)       “in  which  case,  i  appreciate  your  concern  -  but  it’s  unnecessary.  i  can  handle  myself.”       and  her  band  of  outlaws.

     Sorry, this is getting lengthy, but I really appreciate all of the times we have written together. I think if I remember correctly we’ve been writing for two years? Or so? Even with that amount of time between us, I have enjoyed watching Sokanon and your other muses grow throughout the years, reading your drabbles and how your writing talent has gained new heights. Writing with you has drastically helped with my own writing. These words are so kind and are a great honor from you!
