I came up with 31 Worst Witch prompts for fic writers, artists, and some for editors!! This is for October but they can be used at any time!! Plus some ideas next to some of them in case you’re stuck at any point! Any edition of the Worst Witch is welcome!

The prompts are centred around Halloween, The closer to Halloween the more scary the prompts get!

Rules:

-no ai!

-please no Harry Potter (we don’t like jkr in this household)

-tag it #worstwitchtober

-you don’t have to do every day just do what you’d like to

-prioritise your physical and mental health

-there are no limitations to what you can or can not write/draw/edit as long at it follows the prompts and you tag it accordingly and put any trigger warnings that may be needed

-you can write as much as you want whether it’s 100 words or 10K+ words it’s all up to you

-anyone is welcome to join!

Prompts!!!

Missing Ingredient (x missed an ingredient and the potion went wrong, x is ill and the only cure is a potion - expect they’re missing a vital ingredient)

School Trip (a school trip gone wrong maybe?)

Potion gone wrong (could be x got given a x potion and their personality changed, or x got potion wrong and the consequences)

Universe Collided (eg, ‘17 shows ends up in ‘98 universe, ‘86 and ‘98 meet, all three meet — editors could edit each version of a character)

Exhausted

Crossover (a classic crossover fic etc)

“Someone will catch me.”

Locked in (x is locked in a room, the school is locked up, locked-in syndrome (something magically similar, be respectful and do your research), x is stuck inside their head because of a spell (gone wrong or something sinister at play?))

Cross Country (maybe a PE class gone wrong, or another school trip)

WorstWitchtober Day 2 : School trip

Constance reported the Academy to the Witches Guild because she wanted Mildred to be expelled, but she didn’t expect Mistress Broomhead to receive the report.

idk what number this is but I thought about it for prompt #14 - broom trouble

reasoning:

- At the start of the inspection episode, Miss Cackle says the Guild has received reports of “mysterious goings on” in which Miss Bat asks “what sort of goings on?”

- Constance then quickly interrupts, listing all Mildred’s mishaps in the year as though she’d filed the report herself.

- When the rest of the staff are panicking, Constance also seems calm and almost satisfied as she says “there’s no need to be negative” because it will lead to “altercations and improvements”

- It feels as though she was the one to file the report because she was so frustrated by Mildred’s behaviour and wanted something to be done about it. I don’t think she expected Mistress Broomhead to show up though, and that’s why she suddenly became so protective over Mildred, possibly because she felt guilty?

- It also explains why she only hid Mildred away in her room and not other trouble makers like Enid, Fenny & Gris etc, because she knew Broomhead was out to get Mildred. Broomhead also says Mildred’s name kept cropping up in the report??

- You could also say that Broomhead showed up because she knew Constance filed the report.’She acted surprised when she saw her, but you never know.
