One thing I think would be a neat fanfic is a take on the “op self insert” were instead of being a power fantasy the writer plays into worms themes of needing to be in an unhealthy mindset to end up a cape and the whole story is them getting a job in retail and trying really hard not to have a go at rude customers while waiting in horror for the plot to start knowing that scion is inevitable this is what eventually gives them powers in the first place
