yeah larries seem to think harry changed for the better and louis for the worst because he was "too gay." They actually think modest trained him to change his mannerisms in order to go along with the coverup more and it's so just so fucked up they believe that. louis has taken the brunt of it in this situation that's their only justification for why harry has only become more free~ (teenage harry was quite unhappy according to them), louis took most of the fall for "his boy." they're so into
this fantasy of a love story between these two that it distorts reality and suddenly things that don’t make sense at all are considered to be givens in larrie logic, everyone in the industry knows harry and louis are in love and together (yet somehow not one pic has ever managed to leak of them out in public post 2012/early 2013 at all ever? in the digital/social media age? sure) and they plan on having babies and walking down the aisle together. it’s just crazy
Hooooooly crap thank you for the info!! that’s so creepy in so many ways. It’s not like management isn’t going to notice what’s going on with Harry? Either they genuinely care about keeping them in the closet or they don’t. Or are they just doing this out of loathing for Harry and Louis? Because yeah, if it’s some fairytale, then Louis throwing himself at Simon Cowell’s feet and sobbing and saying “HURT ME INSTEAD!! LEAVE HARRY ALONE” kind of fits. But this is supposed to be a corporation who is determined to go incredibly great lengths to keep two young men in the closet.
Everything in this ask that you’re telling me about Larries is so clearly them confusing fanfics with reality. They craft a narrative that appeals to them and that fits well enough with Larry and then they treat it as truth. “This is the only way Larry could be real, therefore it’s FACT.” Where did unhappy teenage Harry come from? Where did any of the things they think about Louis come from? Dude, I’m still totally freaked out by my newfound discovering that they think Louis doesn’t even get to dress with his actual style? And then they just make shit up about him?? Or is that actual fanfic, I honestly cannot tell.
I’m still not over the day I found out Harry and Louis are supposed to be in a “glass closet” and everyone knows, and they go out on dates openly all the time, and yet somehow everyone was keeping this completely secret (except for sending anon receipts) and no paparazzi or fans had ever managed to photograph them together. I was reading Larrie proofs and blogs and trying to really see where they were coming from but I’d just figured they were imagining Harry and Louis being super secretive all the time… and yet… I think I’ve seen the idea that only the non-Larrie parts of 1D fandom really think they’re straight right now, that all the stunts are for us and that the general public are probably vaguely aware that they’re together. The Larrie bubble is SO. INTENSE.
