Dridon Map Progress - Continent Working - Painting Phase

By the way, those 'phases' I keep putting in the title ^ expect a lot of back and forth between them lol
As it says though, I've finally got a base down for the entire continent of Dridon in Worldpainter, though I'm still cleaning up the edges:
This map is so fucking big, that even zoomed out entirely I can't see all of it.
Also an export at this size takes whopping forever, but it might also be because of my shitty home internet lmao. So I think I may scale it down a bit? Because in-game, the Biomes are huge. And that's canon, in Souls of Black they are fucking big. But at the same time, it's a balance of keeping to canon and letting it be actually fun to explore and play.
Speaking of which: I do hope to like, put this map out someday whenever it's done, for people to actually play if they want. I have a modpack I'm working on putting together/testing and while that need a bit more too, I'm excited regardless :)

I did manage to fix up some new trees for the Swamp Biome, as their schematics still had land attached so I had to fix those up. Here's some photos:
The next test from the other day (?) was a loose mockup of how the trees will actually be placed on the continent, just to see how they all looked together.
Unfortunately I started noticing things about the schematics I'm using; the Ancient Taiga trees for some reason have logs on top of them?? ππ and a lot of the other trees have wonky leaves at their tops too. I checked the schematics in the world(s) I use to look at them, and no, they're all just Like That for some reason.
The Ancient Taiga trees I can easily fix, but a lot of the other brushes I use for the various forests have like 5+ schematics in them, and I don't want to have to fix every one π so I'm probably not gonna
Back to today though: Some in game photos of where I previously painted a small portion of the Desert and it stopped where I had, and a hole I'd accidentally dug into the ocean lol

Dridon Map Progress - Forests So Far - Testing Phase
A continuation of this post.
Images of all the forests I've put together so far. Some will be changed to their specific wood types when I place them on Dridon, but for now, they look as they are. The densities however, I'm happy with.
The Dark Forest (Dark Oak Biome)
The Taiga
The Ancient Taiga (part of the Taiga Biome)
The Jungle
The Pure Woods (Birch Forest)
The Savannah
The Oak Forest (of the southern Plains Biome)
The Swamp
I plan to add more different tree types to the Swamp, as they're all very small compared to all the others as of now. But that's for tomorrow, or another day.
