Today is #worldostomyday and it seems I have a thing for putting bowties, monocles, and hats on Stan Lee. I guess I see him as a dapper sort of fellow. A guy with class and standard, a true gent with morals and values. Someone you want to be immediate friends with, because he is so damn cool! Although he isn't seen much, when he is I want people to enjoy and laugh at his antics. It's no lie that these types of issues and diseases are never discussed enough. If a silly hat and a corrective lens makes people stop and look, then I suppose that is one way to bring attention. In 2012 approx 233,000 Canadians suffered from Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. That is 233,000 in Canada alone! There is around 10,000 new cases a year and these diseases are still not recognized as a health priority in most of the country. These shitty diseases alter and in some cases even end lives. Even with expert specialist at hand, there is still a need for more research, better medications, and resources for these diseases. Of course it isn't all bad, I mean road trips and flights are so much easier. No toilet? No problem! 🤣💩😂 #worldostomyday2018 #ulcerativecolitis #crohnsdisease #ileostomy #ostomy #ostomypatient #boweldisease #nocolonstillrollin #ostomates #ostomyawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/Bol6tAZAVlz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=h445vvdfhvpu
