Is anyone else struggling to find work?
In September of 2022 the company I worked for did mass lay offs and boy did that shit hurt. The company lacked decor, respect, honoring their employees and understanding human basic needs. I, along with others were let go because the company simply couldn’t keep their word nor had any proper way to market themselves. They then did another mass lay off a week before Christmas, And although this all may sound insensitive I fully understand that sometimes this is the option companies have to make.
However when you HAVE the solutions at your finger tips and yet turn a blind eye. Why should anyone sympathize? Why should anyone give any kindness to your recklessness?
Since then I have stayed up for countless hours, tailoring my resume, looking into different fields, And yet nothing. With multiple cover letters, edits to my resume and reaching out for follow ups. It seems as if looking for a company that respects basic human needs just does not exist.
For those in the same boat. Hang in there, keep going, something is bound to come around. Know your worth and make sure wherever you work they understand and see the value in you. Do not settle.
Keep going. Keeping trying!
