This month I am working as a sales girl. Now, what I'm going to write down is true and I experienced it myself. I am writing this here because I have nobody else who will listen to me.

So, let's start. I'm currently working with a company that sells ready made food. They sell everything from fresh chicken, fresh eggs, to processed meat like nugget and sausage. I applied to this company because a 'friend' told me about it. She said that this company really takes care of their employees (which is bullshit) and the workload is heavy but the payment is good (which is another bullshit). Well, at the very least now I know not to trust her.

So, before I start working, they have me sign a contract. There is 1 clause in that contract that stated more or less like this, "you can't ask other workers to join you in demonstration for higher pay or stop working."

I am being paid $11.72 per day on weekdays. And $14.20 per day on weekends. (Using the current exchange rate, that's how much I got paid).

On weekdays, I work for at least 10 hours. On weekends, I work for at least 15 hours in a day. These hours are flexible, in which I usually were told to work more hours than that. Without extra pay of course. But, if you come late to work, they will deduct it from your pay.

At first, I was fine with the payment. But after going through the first day, I understand that it was inhumane. We are working outside, selling things, with 33 degrees Celcius weather (around 91 degrees Fahrenheit). We are not allowed to sit on a chair, they forced us to stand, sometimes we took a chair or two and have turn sitting on it, but if they feel that we sit too much instead of selling their products (we sit down when there's no customers), they took the chairs. And gave us warnings of course. So sometimes we choose to sit on the floor.

And you can go to the toilet obviously, just don't let them know that your are gone. If they saw your station is empty, they get angry.

The only resting time we got is when we eat, they provided us with food, which is actually their instant meal product that doesn't sell. One time they even gave us the instant meal that is going to expire the very next day. Joy.
