#devotion Excellence has been in my heart the past several weeks and I love that my lovelies are reading this devotion with me. The summer was full of activities, days of long sleep-ins and lounging around and our hearts needed to be refreshed. Trash annoys me and there is evidence of someone in the house leaving napkins in every room they visit as they walk through. I continually pickup after them (I won’t reveal the big guys name). It’s a hallmark of their presence but certainly it makes me irritated. So, I’m hoping this devotion of excellence teaches excellence in the smallest of details and it is ingrained in my lovelies❣️ . . . “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV Wow the devotion cuts the scripture short yet as we read it in completion it speaks...where we are going in the realm of the dead 💀 of where we go visit there is lack of knowledge or wisdom. Dead meaning people are walking zombies without looking ahead but just living lives like a robot or consumed in their own situations. What if...our neighborhood or community there is a spirit of poverty and trash is laying everywhere or grocers carts are misplaced and you’re one of a few to put the cart in its place. What if...you’re the only hope in your workplace who brings vision to the perishing/unfruitful department or business. Let’s choose to be excellent in all our hands touch that we honor those around us and provide light where darkness resides. Maybe then will lives be transformed.
