God corrects those he loves
π A Birthday Blessing π
Some birthdays are remembered for the cake, the balloons, or the party. But Ate Nena Rius chose to make her 70th birthday unforgettable for an entirely different reason β one that pointed all glory back to God.
She celebrated her birthday earlier with family and friends, but instead of asking for personal gifts, she made one heartfelt request:
βPlease give in monetary form β not for me, but for my outreach for Persons with Disabilities.β
Her goal? To bless PWDs in Las PiΓ±as who have been unable to receive help from the LGU. Together with her ever-supportive husband Allan Rius and their family, they turned this vision into reality.
I was invited to give an encouragement speech at the outreach, and I left feeling more blessed than when I came. I saw how Godβs love flows through Ate Nenaβs hands β in church, to relatives, and to strangers outside church walls.
Her life is a reminder that generosity isnβt just about giving; itβs about returning every blessing to the One who gave it.
