We are a Black-led, worker-owned cooperative business. All of our worker-owners receive the same annual salary, and decide collectively how to use any profits earned. We believe that no one should have to pay for necessities, so we never mark up food. We only earn money from the essential work of sourcing, packing, and distributing food. Mission: Food justice is labor justice. Brooklyn Packers creates an ownership stake in the food industry for the people who do the work. Our worker-owned, Black-led cooperative strives to make the food supply chain as short and transparent as possible, raising the bar on farmer/worker pay, food industry job security, consumer access, and environmental sustainability in food production. We seek food sovereignty for ourselves and our communities in NYC. Brooklyn Packers also operates a low-cost grocery bag delivery service, Black Radish.
