#work nightmare

who needs backrooms when this is your workplace:

asbestos removal combined with major remodeling and shelf construction involving moving the entire collection

spending 9 hours per day in this environment.... suuucks

this a pretty quiet couple of minutes. all this week there has been very loud intermittent electronic beeping, {testing the movable shelving}, alongside the sawing and hammering and giant ac units humming.

So i have a coworker who has been known to be somewhat inconsiderate of the rest of the team. She leaves her stuff all over the break room which is basically the size of a closet (it essentially is a closet) and even when told to not do that or not leave stuff such as her shoes out in the open she does not correct the behavior.

BUT today i came in and she informed me to not get too close to her as she had PINK EYE which is obviously infectious. Honestly i already am uncomfortable by her just being here knowing she’s been touching stuff around the store all day long, bu on top of that WHY WOULD YOU BE CAUTIOUS OF YOUR DISTANCE BUT STILL LEAVE ALL YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS THAT HAVE YOUR GERMS AROUND THE BREAK ROOM AS WELL AS THE ONE SMALL TABLE WE HAVE TO EAT AND AIT DOWN AT?????

maybe i’m overreacting but first of all i just don’t want pink eye ofc im also work g a majority of the week and would hate to be infected and call out a majority of the week.

I’ve also seen her wipe done none of the spaces and items she’s touched so far so that’s awesome and not gross at alllllllll.

I guess I’ve had this job long enough for these to start again. Before this, I’ve always just worked in fast food, so the nightmares were always that we were super busy and i was having to speed-do everything and not going fast enough. Well now i’m a 911 dispatcher............... they’re a little different.
