I’ll go with the last option and say d) star trek universe c. ds9 after the dominion war. super advanced technology, social rights/values, earth-side problems like war/famine have been solved, and it’s a time of great opportunity and change. plus I probably wouldn’t die of anything terrible like being eaten by orcs or whatever, and there’s always holodecks for indulging my lotr or narnia fantasies! win-win.
